The YouTube Channel that I run with my girl Helen Anderson needs YOU. We want to make Confetti Girls a colourful, creative and collaborative online space that will inspire our viewers when planning their weddings. We’re very nearly at 11,000 subscribers too which is so exciting!
If you’d like to become a Confetti Girl, simply make a video, upload it to Dropbox (or similar) and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. It’s that easy! Your video could be about anything wedding related, so long as it will appeal to people planning an ALTERNATIVE wedding. So far we’ve had DIY tutorials, make up tips and dress shopping advice. Don’t be shy, we can’t wait to hear from you. We’ll be uploading our favourites over the coming weeks.
Have you subscribed to my YouTube channel yet!? If not, where have you BEEN!? Confetti Girls is a channel that I run with my friend Helen and it’s such a fun little passion project! We put out new videos every week and I’d love for you to join us.
If you haven’t subscribed yet you’ve been missing gems such as…
Last week Helen and I sat down to discuss how to choose your bridal party…
And this week I’ve shared a vlog of the behind the scenes action of shooting some editorials for Rock n Roll Bride magazine. I’m really enjoying vlogging actually so I hope you’ve been liking them as well!
Happy Valentine’s Day! With today being the international day of lurrrrrve, there’s probably no more fitting time to launch my new project so here we go!
I’m not ashamed to admit that I spent rather a lot of time on YouTube. I love watching my favourite YouTuber’s beauty tips, product reviews, vlogs, silly pranks and haul videos a little too much probably. However there does seem to be a distinct lack of decent wedding related content being made, so a little while ago I decided it was time to do something about it!
I’ve actually been wanting to start my own channel for YEARS but I’ve been too scared! I don’t really know how to edit videos, I’m not as comfortable on camera as I am with just writing, and I was worried about not having the time needed to commit to it.
Enter my babe Helen Anderson: Beauty guru, YouTube star, all round excellent person.
Over the past year we’ve become really great friends and when I told her I was considering starting a channel but I had no idea where to start she said “OMG, Kat, we should totally do one TOGETHER!” Helen’s actually in the middle of planning her own wedding too so she’s literally the perfect person to be partnering with!
We wanted a channel that encompassed both of our brands (hence why it’s not called the Rock n Roll Bride channel) and one that we could both add our own distinctive style and knowledge to. We also wanted it to potentially become a platform to invite other contributors to make videos for as well!
I AM SO EXCITED I COULD BURST.
Our current plan is to upload something once a week and we’ll be doing everything from hauls, lookbooks, unboxing videos, chats on different subjects, guest spots, DIYs and Q&A’s! In fact that’s exactly what we’ve started with today.
So head over to our channel, subscribe and leave us a comment. We’d love to hear what you think and if you have any ideas for future videos.
