Interstellar: Celestial Wedding Inspo with a Chotronette Dress

We don’t feature styled shoots that often here at Rock n Roll Bride any more, far preferring the real details involved from your gorgeous wedding days, but when something this dreamy lands in our inbox, we can’t resist! Husband and wife team The Chamberlins have longed to shoot a celestial-themed set-up for a long time; Celle is obsessed with all things starry and both her and Will feel a deep spiritual connection to the heavens due to their faith. They told us; “we wanted to celebrate the beauty, the freedom and the vastness of the skies by arranging a celestial-themed styled shoot.”

Their main priority was the dress – they knew they didn’t want any other gown other than the Aurora Borealis gown by Romanian designers and Rock n Roll Bride faves, Chotronette. “For us, the dress epitomised a glorious dusky sky with its soft pastel tones combined with the sparkles of the stars,” Celle told us. “We specifically wanted to steer away from darker tones that one can often associate with the night-sky and instead, play on the dusky colours that preempt the darkness and reflects a different type of otherworldly feeling.”

Intimate & Colourful Urban Farm Wedding

Sam and Jeremy’s colourful wedding took place on November 2, 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana. They chose Paradigm Gardens, a cute little urban farm next to the interstate, as the venue. All of their wedding suppliers were friends beforehand including their photographer, ceremony officiant and entertainment. And after their short ceremony, they celebrated with a small group of friends and family where they ate, drank and danced the night away to their favourite tunes from the 60s and 70s.

Birds, Bicycles, Skulls & Air Plants (and the Most Stunning Chotronette Dress!)

Paula and Darryl were legally married in Chippenham in May but also decided to have a second wedding for their South African contingent in September. They had a beautiful (yet freezing!) outdoor ceremony officiated by a friend at Dunkeld Country & Equestrian Estate in Dulstroom.

“Our original plan was a wedding theme was bicycles, birds, skulls and succulents”, explained Paula. “Birds and bicycles for Darryl as he’s a cyclist who loves birds, and skulls and succulents for me. I incorporated birds into my dress, I wore beautiful hummingbird earrings and we used birdcages for the centrepieces. I’m a biologist and I love the cycle of life. I didn’t want to have cut flowers – I don’t like them I think it’s freakish to kill these beautiful things and then watch them wither… Skulls are okay though, haha! During the course of planning succulents turned in to air plants.”
