Vegas plays host to countless weddings and bridal photo shoots every year. Some rely on colour palette, others the neon lights and bustling casino setting. Yet this one began with a time of day: golden hour.
Shot at Sure Thing Too in the downtown area with a real couple, Beth of Velvet Alchemy Photography followed her models as Las Vegas switched from sun-bleached spectacle to after-dark magic.

“A real couple + golden hour fading into neon + a classic convertible”, she said. “This shoot was all about the iconic glow Vegas. I shot a lot on film cameras and used off-camera flash to cut through the neon tinged dusk. Think vintage chapel interiors and convertible leather seats. This was old Vegas meets modern editorial.”

The bride’s outfit centred on a fitted lace mini dress from Raw Golden Rentals, complete with bows. full puff sleeves and a detachable overskirt that created a long train at the back. It is playful and built for movement whether that means climbing into a convertible, sitting inside a photo booth or running across Fremont Street in platform heels.

For couples planning their own Vegas wedding, we hope this shoot makes a strong case for treating the city as part of your styling. A chapel can provide the ceremony setting, but the motels, vintage cars, photo booths and neon streets will also create the wider part pf your story.
