Casey met Dwayne in 2005 while looking for a tattoo artist. Appointments turned into years of friendship. In November 2022, when they realised they were both single, Casey invited Dwayne to a local venue to watch a friend’s stand up set after a session. Sitting in the booth, he reached over, grabbed her face, and kissed her. “He said he’d been waiting to do that for a long time and we’ve been inseparable ever since.”

Two weeks into dating, Dwayne told her they were going to get married. While Casey laughed it off, apparently he was right! They married at the Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas, leaning fully into a theme they called ‘Til Death Do Us Punk’.

“Planning our wedding was not at all stressful thanks so our amazing planner“, Casey said, “everything went smoothly. During our ceremony we played punk music and our vows were a nod to our love story. My 80-year-old mum made the trip to Vegas from Florida which was SUPER special! We also had a pretty decent size friend group that came out to celebrate with us.”

Following tradition wasn’t something they ever considered. They cut a cake but that was about it! Instead of a typical photo session, they had a private, almost boudoir style shoot against a backdrop of guitars, vinyl, and the museum artefacts.

Their planner brought along an old-style corded phone, passed from guest to guest so friends and family could leave recorded messages. Those recordings are being pressed onto vinyl. Casey’s best friend also bought a Punk Rock Museum poster, had everyone sign it, and framed it as a keepsake.

There was no formal reception. They stayed at the museum, drank at the bar, ate cake, and let the night unfold. “Do you and have no regrets”, Casey concluded. “We had a blast and made the most incredible memories.”
