Carlo and Taylor didn’t want the big, 200-guests-you-barely-know kind of wedding. They wanted something louder, sharper, and unapologetically theirs. Enter the idea of flying to Las Vegas with just 25 of their love ones. “A modern, edgy, rock ‘n’ roll elopement meets vintage Vegas,” is how they put it. Tattoos out, rules in the bin, black and white everything.
“Our wedding threw tradition out the window and replaced it with personality, edge, and authenticity,” Taylor said. “We were not trying to impress anyone. Instead of hiding our tattoos, we embraced and I even highlighted by wearing a sleeveless dress, making it a part of our weddings aesthetic. Our wedding wasn’t just a wedding, it was a statement.”

Vegas set the stage and Rock N Romance Elopements brought their ideas to life. Their four daughters and a handful of their closest people piled into Sure Thing Chapel where vows were swapped with a nod to Sin City itself. “Our ceremony was the perfect mix of intimate and romantic, but still edgy, light hearted and fun. Our Vegas themed vows were the perfect cherry on top,” she continued.

Forget a sit-down dinner with chargers and matching napkins. They rented out Evel Pie, one of downtown’s most notorious dive pizza joints, for their reception. “I can’t decide what I loved more; the iconic bathroom graffiti photo or sharing laughs, pizza, and memories with our favourite people,” she said. “We just loved that there was no fluff, no stress, and no regrets. Just love, tattoos, and the most unforgettable day of our lives. The Rock N Romance Elopement team had it all handled. We’d do it all over again – exactly the same!”

Eloping in Vegas wasn’t just cheaper, it was liberating. “We saved thousands, and still had the unforgettable dream wedding. No drama, no debt – just love and killer memories,” they said. “Our wedding was just as real and special, in fact we think even more so because we stripped away pleasing everyone else.” But choosing that route did came with some pushback. “No one tells you how exhausting it is to constantly justify your choices just because you’re not doing the traditional big over the top wedding”, Taylor said. “Sticking to your vision can be hard when everyone else has their opinion.”

Their advice to anyone facing that kind of pressure? Burn the rulebook. “Do it your way. Don’t be afraid to ditch tradition and do what actually makes you happy. The day should reflect your love, not everyone else’s expectations. Whether that’s a Vegas elopement, a backyard ceremony, or a mountaintop vow – make it yours. And trust me – get a photographer who gets you and your vibe! Getting to work with Jamie was like handing our wildest wedding dreams to a creative genius and watching her setting them on fire- in the best way!!! Her artistic eye and edgy style didn’t just match our rebellious vibe… it amplified it. She took everything we wanted and envisioned and cranked it up!”
