Alexandra and Taylor didn’t want a traditional wedding. In fact, they actively avoided it. Instead, they flew to Las Vegas and tied the knot in the most gloriously tacky, retro, rock-inspired way they could imagine -inside the iconic Little White Chapel.

“We just wanted to have fun,” they said. “We skipped most traditions so we could just enjoy the day and do whatever we wanted.” And they meant it. There were no matching napkins or colour-coded flower arrangements. No three-course dinner. No big white dress moment. What they did have was a vintage-leaning ceremony soundtracked by churchy tunes, a southern pastor-style officiant with a splash of Vegas charm, and a whole lot of freedom to just do their day their way. Afterwards, they celebrated with doughnuts on Fremont Street and champagne back at The Mirage.

Would they have splurged on anything if the budget were unlimited? “A multi-tier, gothic, all black cake,” Alexandra said. Because even if you’re not into the frills, there’s always room for a little drama.

“I wish more people understood that alternative weddings are honestly just better!”, the bride concluded. “You save money and it’s less stress. You also don’t have to invite or include toxic people just because they are family! Don’t waste your money on keeping up with what you see on social media. Take your money and elope. Have a dream vacation with the one you love!”
