Nick and Lisa’s wedding was a bright and colourful celebration that embodied the motto ‘more is more.’ The wedding took place in the heart of Hamburg, in a location that felt like a hidden island with stunning views of the Elbe River. The theme was simply ‘summer chic’ and their bold use of colour was reflected in the guests’ attire. Everyone wore bright colors and prints.
“We wanted our wedding to be a true reflection of who we are and the amazing friends we have,” said Lisa. “It was wonderful to see everyone in such vibrant outfits.”
The ceremony was far from traditional. Instead of a formal processional, Lisa entered to Hot in Here by Nelly, played on the guitar by their friend Tom. “We didn’t have wedding vows, but our friends found lovely words to share,” Nick added. Two of their best friends officiated the ceremony for them.
Nick and Lisa also decided to forgo classic wedding traditions like a wedding cake and a traditional first dance, too. After lunch, they surprised their guests by changing into matching sweatsuits instead of opening the dance floor with a formal dance. The couple also chose to focus on unposed moments with their friends rather than formal portrait sessions or group pictures.
“There was no single favourite part,” Lisa reflected. “It was nice to see how everything gradually took shape and how we complemented each other in the process. From spending the night before apart and not knowing what the other would be wearing, to finally standing together at the front and seeing each other in our wedding outfits for the first time, it was all amazing.”

I have something really beautiful and unusual for you today, I just know you're going to love it! Kristin and Ky were hitched at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens in Florida. Their outdoor wedding was made as colourful as possible with the addition of paint... lots of paint!
The bride wore a full face of geisha-style face paint, her dress was splattered with it (which she did herself), they painted each other as part of the ceremony and they had an artist on hand to do their guests too!

Kelli and Chris were married in the bride's father's backyard. They wanted their wedding to be super colourful, super laidback and themed around their love of Mexico. Mission accomplished!
"I must admit, in the beginning I was all over the place with wedding ideas and styles", began Kelli. "I wanted rose gold and pewter... then a garden theme.... then shiny things... then burlap! I had looked at WAY too many Pinterest boards and was suffering from total wedding ADD. I knew I wanted to be true to myself and have a ton of fun, but never in my wildest dreams did it even come close to reality."

Marrying her sweetheart in August of last year, newlywed Claire told me all about their Glaswegian wedding. "Whilst on paper our wedding wasn't overtly Rock n Roll, our journey to get down the aisle definitely offers a slightly offbeat tale. Namely because in the two years leading up to our nuptials we collectively lost ten stone between us - the equivalent of 20ish new-born babies, a Saint Bernard dog, or Britney Spears. The toughest journey of my life, losing 70% of our collective weight drop, I lived, breathed and blogged the whole shebang, and whilst I still have a few more pounds to shift, that I made it down the aisle in the most beautiful dress I've ever seen, no longer morbidly obese, is the proudest moment of my life so far."

I don't usually like to make assumptions about which weddings might be the most popular ones that we publish, but I'm pretty confident to state that I think you are all going to lose your collective shit when you see Lisa and Tom's wedding. Why? Well would you get a load of her DRESS!!! Before we move onto discussing anything else about this one, we need to talk about that immediately!

Easy Going and Super Cool Wedding in Berlin

Berlin is probably one of the coolest places I've ever been. There's this crazy juxtaposition of the old, overgrown and almost derelict looking architecture, with a really unique arty and creative vibe. Nearly everything is covered in graffiti or art of some kind. Jamie and Angi's wedding couldn't be more Berlin if it tried. I adore everything about it!

"Asian weddings are notorious for being huge, but we didn't want that", the bride continued. "We wanted everyone there to truly feel part of the wedding. This was going to be a party for our nearest and dearest. We set out to find a unique venue to capture both our sides, tall order! We looked everywhere: gallery
spaces, sculpture gardens, castles – the lot. We were losing hope until we came across a beautiful
National Trust site in Derby. It was stunning and we fell in love with it straight away. Not only could we
pretty much use the whole house for our ceremony, reception, dinner and dancing but it was closed
to the public and it had a history steeped in the Rajasthani era as the owner was the Viceroy to India.
Perfect! I had the Indian side covered and Stu had the design and architecture by Robert Adams
covered. We couldn't believe our luck."
