Pris-Magic: The Short Wedding Dress Trend with a Rock n Roll Twist

Kirsty Mackenzie Photography

June 7, 2024

Above-the-knee micro minis are truly having their bridal moment, so for issue 55’s cover shoot we wanted to give this idea a Rock ‘n’ Roll twist. We incorporated structured skirts and corsets, and accessorised with ribbons, bows, applique flowers, big sleeves and some really fun, creative veils.

We shot at Abney Park Chapel, a magnificent Grade II listed building which re-opened this year after undergoing major restoration work. This included brand-new stained-glass windows, additional seating at mezzanine level, bespoke lighting and accessible facilities.

Abney Park Chapel is licensed for wedding ceremonies. The venue’s capacity is 70 standing or 50 seated, making it the perfect for space for intimate celebrations. For more information about hiring and viewings, visit their website!
