Adelina and Aiden chose to make their April 2022 Vegas wedding family-focused as, prior to their celebration, neither of them had seen their families for over two years! “I cried tears of joy for weeks when New Zealand opened up for travel post-pandemic,” Adelina told us. “Initially we sped up our wedding and just thought we’d elope, but the guest list kept on growing. We had people join us from New Zealand, Singapore, Australia and the UK.”

With no planned theme in mind, the order of the day was to bring the fun! They kept things super simple, booking a bouquet with Bloomsday and a Vegas- themed cake with the ubiquitous Cakedup Lv and let the rest flow naturally!

“Even if you have a simple wedding, unexpected things can happen but just breathe and try to enjoy the day because it should be the best day of your life and having fun is so important,” Adelina continued.

Two days before the wedding they realised Aiden’s suit and Adelina’s evening For Love & Lemons dress was left at their home in Singapore (!) so they had to order everything over to them with 24-hour delivery and have the pieces tailored at 5pm the night before the wedding. Adelina’s sister ended up in hospital that same evening, and to top it off, the bride had laryngitis!

“Thanks to all this drama, I had zero vows prepared for our ceremony, but Aidens’ vows made up for everything. I will forever cherish the words he spoke and the promises he made to us!” They had Elvis marry them at A Little White Chapel, and everything was short and sweet – leaving more time to party!

“We chose La Comida as our after-dinner/reception venue, and I loved everything about it. From the people celebrating their birthdays next to us through to the amazing cocktails and food. It was very random, but we wouldn’t have changed a thing!” The rest of their reception was in a big party bus, where they carried on their celebrations into the early hours.

Aside from ‘have fun’, the couple’s advice for future rock n roll brides is to invest in a good photographer. “Having Jamie as our photographer was our biggest blessing. Throughout all the stresses, she made everything so fun and relaxed!”
