  1. Laura

I am a wedding photographer and I swear to god if I hear that “Over The Rainbow” cover at another wedding I will lose my mind.

  2. Alison

In response to Laura, I live in Honolulu and I HATE the somewhere over the rainbow cover song. Lol. Ism why they just don’t make it Hawaii’s national anthem!

  3. Lauren G

I walked down the aisle to an acoustic version of maps by yeah yeah yeahs

I just LOVE Karen O’s voice!!

  4. Amy Horsfall

On 26/7 this year I walked down the aisle to the accoustic version of Everlong by Foo Fighters πŸ™‚

I wanted November rain as my isle sobg but its a bit too long. So I am going with something alot different, my song is from a game πŸ™‚

  6. Laura

I walked down the aisle to First Day of my Life in 2008. It was second time for both of us, but truly the first day. We saw Connor Oberst support Springsteen on the Vote for Change tour in Cleveland in 2004 and a love affair blossomed. Amen to alternative wedding songs.

  7. laura wade

We have really struggled with this. We have decided on walking out music (Kenny Rodgers , just dropped in) and 1st dance. (Arcade fire, wake up) but this is hard. Needs to be long enough to walk down to as well!

  8. Bekki Bullough

I walked down the aisle to ‘Grow Old With You’ from the Wedding Singer. Still makes me smile every time I hear it!

I walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of Bryan Adams heaven. Bit cheesy but very emotional. We had loads of fab tracks while the guests assembled…the doors-love me two times, elvis can’t help falling in love with u, green day-last song on earth, Beatles all u need is love and we walked out of our ceremony to Queen crazy little thing called love. Music is a big part of our history. Our first dance was Fleetwood Mac songbird.xx

  13. Vicky Prodrick

I had November rain. I made my bridesmaids walk done first each had a differey ‘boomp’ to go on. Admittedly the words are not great for a wedding! Five years on from splitting up I can smile at the irony of the lyrics – nothing lasts forever and we both know hearts can change! As a bridesmaid I have walked down to the music from the hobbit and twin peaks.. I love how it just makes it all so personal. I am getting married again and will walk down to gigantic by the pixies.

  14. Kim

I walked down the aisle to a Vitamin String Quartet version of the Pumpkin’s ‘stand Inside Your Love’ and for the rest of the ceremony we had ‘Best Friend’ by Queen, Rains of Castamere, ‘Love You To Death’ by Type O Negative and a violin piece by Emilie Autumn. πŸ™‚

  15. Eva Szymczyk

I walked down down the aisle at the church with Who wants to live forever from Queen and walked out by Beatle’s All you need is love .

  16. Gemma

I really really really wanted to walk down the aisle to November rain, until I realised that at the end of the song after Slash’s epic guitar solo they sing “you’re not the only one for me” over and over! Didn’t think it sent the right message for my last walk as an unmarried girl…! :-/

  17. faye

I am walking down the aisle to zeldas lullaby from the computer game the legend of zelda and it will played om harp and flute. Bit ramdom but its my fiances fave game growing up and tje somg sounds beautiful.

  24. Ashley D

I walked to “Honey” by Dustin Ruth. Beautiful song and funny to walk to since my husband and I had been engaged for almost 10 years. There were lots of happy tears and we received so many compliments from guests about the song

  25. So many great songs! I knew I wanted to walk down the aisle to Green Day. I went for their song “Last Night on Earth”. I still well up when I hear it now!!

  26. Excellent alternative isle songs! Three weeks ago I walked down to eels – fresh feeling and our outro music was Karen o – all is love. To me they’re both uplifting tunes πŸ™‚

Hoping to find someone to play piano version of I Will on my way down the aisle and Mr. Sandman on the way out. It just sounds so celebratory!

  28. Aluka

  32. Lady

Walked down the aisle to “Morning Has Broken” even though it was the afternoon πŸ˜‰

Bridal party entered to the Disco Star Wars medley, then the first dances were the theme to Great American Hero, We’re the Same (Matthew Sweet). And til There was You (Beatles).

We enjoyed ourselves so very much πŸ™‚

  33. Gem

I had The Ecstasy Of Gold – Metallica version – as a pre song, All You Need Is Love to walk down to and after the wedding ceremony our guests followed us out to God Gave Rock and Roll To You – Kiss. So happy! πŸ™‚
