Mike & Laura’s wedding excites me as not only did it take place in Tuscany, Italy but they found their photographer JMCL Photography through Rock n Roll Bride! Yesssss.
The couple are originally from Australia and chose the beautiful old town of Lucca in Tuscany to get married. Being abroad, the wedding was a very small, personal and intimate one with only their closest family and friends in attendance. The wedding was also a very laid back one – the couple arrived in the town the night before and did a lot of arranging on the spot. That’s the Italian way to do it!
“The ceremony at Lucca Town Hall was of course organised in advance, but lunch, dinner and afternoon entertainment was all put in place almost as the day unfolded!” Jordon told me. “Really heavy rain meant that Mike and Laura wanted to play things by ear; they wanted to hire bikes to ride around the city walls in the afternoon, for example, but left the decision to see what the weather was doing and in the meantime dived into a gorgeous, typically Italian cafe/restaurant for lunch. The rain stopped and they got to ride, so all was good.”
In the true spirit of all things Rock n Roll, the couple had no concern for expected traditions in favour of having a cool, stylish and classic day and of course Jordan’s photography perfectly mirrored this ideal. As a final awesome touch, Mike surprised Laura with a Fiat 500 as her wedding day transportation. How retro Italian is that!?
Thanks to Mike & Laura and to their photographer Jordon for sharing this fabulous day with us
…and hey, Jordon, you still own me a drink for getting you such a cool wedding in Italy!

What an amazing place to get married – Lucca is just perfect! Nice photo on the bikes going around the town wall!
They classed-it-up! It looks like such a fun and warm wedding, jealous of their venue?! Our town hall is a grim scene. Not good for weddings, that’s for sure, haha…
love the unfussy-ness of this wedding. it’s beautiful in it’s simplicity and just unpretentious. it isn’t trying to be something that it is not, & that’s why it makes my heart sing.
I think it’s the fact that the shoes match the car that make me really love this.
I love this Kat, Destination weddings get me going!!
YAY!! I got so excited when I saw this as I’m getting married in Tuscany in 8 weeks time!!! I hope mine is just as cool! xxx
Absolutely beautiful … Love the Fiat 500 shots especially.
I really love that in image 18 the bride looks like she’s about to squeel!
Fiat 500 wedding is the ultimate in cool!

A spectacularly amazing day! Thanks Jordan for your great photos. Laura looks just beautiful. You’ve captured it so perfectly – I can feel the air, tastes and smells of Lucca again. Perfect.
