Is it just me or did Christmas just zoom by!? The build up is always huge and I can’t believe it’s all over with now. As blog-land slowly wakes up after a much needed rest (not me..too much of a blogaholic I am…take two weeks off? Are you
nuts?!) I’m still swooning over the many Crimbo-related submissions I’ve been receiving. Catie & Dave’s engagements stood out as soon as photographer Lisa sent them to me. Not only is Catie a huge fan of Rock n Roll Bride (she gets instant kudos and jumps the the front of the featuring queue for that one) but the couple’s shoot is nothing short of spectacular. The Christmas lights really bring the shots alive and how can I resist the fact that to propose, Dave got ‘Will you marry me?’ inked on his arm, thank God she said yes!
Thanks to Lisa for sharing these and to Catie & Dave for being aweome. I can’t wait to see how their wedding turns out in October.

Autumn is most definitely here isn't it? Although it's getting colder (and in the UK's case much rainier) we do get some gorgeous colours and light at this time of year. San Francisco based Jerry & Ingrid Yoon were lucky enough to photograph the gorgeous Rosann & Josh frolicking in the autumn leaves for their recently engagement session. These images make me feel all together a little bit less blue about the impending season.
Thanks guys, you certainly put a smile on my face this morning!

Day to Night

Anna & Simon actually had two days to shoot their engagements with friend and photographer Steve Gerrard. They hit two locations which gave both sets a completely different look. First up was the quaint English town of Stratford-Upon-Avon (random fact of the day - where Shakesphere was born) and the second at The Custard Factory in Birmingham. I can't help but particularly love the night time/painting with light shots though - v. cool!
Thanks to Steve for shooting these over to me.
Coolest Engagement Shoot to Date – FACT: Ainsley & Sebastien
September 18, 2013
I'm pretty sure there is no couple in the world that could possibly come close to being as awesome as Ainsley and Sebastien. This is one of those engagement shoots that as soon as I saw it I was dying to see the wedding already, wondering what they could possibly do to top these photos.

Game of Thrones Engagement Shoot: Karlee & Justin
February 17, 2013
Confession time: I've never seen Game of Thrones. I know, I know, my geek credentials should be thrown out of the window and I should hang my head in shame... But needless to say I know a good thing when I see it, and Karlee & Justin's engagement shoot certainly fits that bill.
Vancouver Island in British Columbia was the perfect spot for this DIY shoot - oh yes, I said DIY - the pair made their outfits themselves from scratch!
A NSFW, Super Intimate Engagement Shoot
February 21, 2018
I must preface this feature by letting you all know that this is an explicit photo session, and one that not everyone will be comfortable looking at. But in the spirit of Rock n Roll Bride being about self-expression and doing whatever is right for you and your partner, I really wanted to share it! There are a lot of NSFW photos featured below and while I personally think they're really tastefully done and the story behind them is one worth sharing, I understand that not everyone will agree.
