Circus Act Of Colour
August 2, 2009
Rock n Roll Bride sponsor Michelle of
Oeil Photography sent me an exclusive peek at her newest photographic creation. A lucid ballet of light, colour and fabulous fashion, these shots just make me want to dress up in a bright yellow ‘cage’ dress and get my pose on!
Rene, Lauren (who actually made the yellow cage) and Tara (of Trigger Happy Photo) seriously rocked this shoot – stepping away from any fancy frou frou weddingness in favour of playing along in their very own circus act of colour, experimentation and edgy fashion.

Two Brides Are Better Than One: Barbie and Kendra Get Married
June 15, 2016
It usually it takes a couple of months for something to be published on the blog after I receive a submission for a feature (yes, my wait list is huge!) but when Barbie and Kendra's perfect pink pride-filled shoot landed in my inbox yesterday, and in light of the utterly tragic events in Orlando this week, I knew I had to let us skip the queue and feature it as soon as physically possible.

Vibrant & Colourful Hull City Wedding Shoot
All You Need is Love
January 13, 2018
As city backdrops go, I have to say Hull is killing it. The colours and street art painted on its walls along Humber Street here wake you up and shake you up, and there is a Killers lyric graffitied in hot pink - I am in love. It's perfect for urbanites wanting something edgy and contemporary for their wedding or engagement photos. Colour, culture, and plenty of buzz - it has it all.
Retro Pin Up Valentines Lovelies
February 6, 2010
With the day of hearts, flowers and lurrrve fast approaching, I have been inundated with Valentine's themed submissions, however this retro/pin up shoot from Jen Will may well be one of my utter favourites.
The shoot took place in her own kitchen which was the perfect setting for the baking theme. "This is part of the reason I love my apartment." Jen tells us "It is the coolest apartment ever, and my love for it is part of the reason I have yet to join the adult world of home ownership. It has a bathroom that would probably rent out as a large bedroom in New York City and a classic stove that came straight from the original Be Witched TV show. No matter where I live in the future, I will always love this place. I am so glad I got to document it in such a special way!"
I have to agree... and seeing these really makes me want to get my arse in gear and decorate our house! Thanks to Jen for sharing these.
