Barbican Trash The Dress
June 12, 2009
The sore head from last night’s shenanigans is beginning to kick in…who knew the girls of the UK wedding scene were so hardcore! Last night I went out with a bunch of girlies I’ve met through the site and I have to say we had am absolute ball!
So it’s only fair to start today off with some of the work of one of the gorgeous girls from last night’s meet.
Eliza Claire sent me these first thing this morning (her headache must not be as bad as mine!) They are photographs she took of her friend and fellow photographer, Ly Wylde at the Barbican in London.
Love them and love all my new wedding loving friends!

Bohemian Countryside Hippies Shoot: Jesse & Charlie
August 24, 2013
This hippy-esque countryside shoot was set up by wedding photographer Camilla Rosa. who really wanted to shoot an emotional set that perfectly reflected the couple in it. Jesse and Charlie live in a hut on the banks of a river with no electricity, sing in a band, home made pretty much everything and only wear charity shop or home made clothes - so her idea was perfect for them!
An Edgy & Urban Bridal Shoot
August 8, 2012
This shoot was set up for Bow Wood Florist, based in Forney, a small town just outside of Dallas. They wanted some edgier images to really show modern brides what they can do. They created the bouquet but allowed photographer Britney of Tucker Images to let her imagination run wild with the styling and location of the shoot.
Horses, Rainbow Brights & a Tattooed Bride
October 9, 2012
If someone was to ask me to list my favourite things tattooed brides, bright rainbow colours and cute, furry animals would all fare pretty high on my list. So needless to say I didn't hesitate when I was sent this bridal shoot by wedding photographer Martin Hobby!
June 7, 2013
Shot in the Gothic paradise of Whitby, North Yorkshire (they have a famous twice yearly gothic weekend festival) photographer Michelle of SilverStar Photographic had long wanted to shoot here. However her initial idea didn't become a full blown vision until she met Michelle from Victorian Gothic Clothing.
Inspiration for your Perfectly Imperfect Wedding
May 23, 2014
The day I published this article on wedding trends (and why they suck) Scottish wedding photographer Caro Weiss got in touch to tell me she couldn't agree more - and that she'd just done a shoot with florists, Pyrus, for the exact same reason!
Urban and Romantic Wedding Inspiration
April 25, 2014
Who says gritty and urban can't also be pretty and colourful?! Not this girl! Which is why I completely love this rainbow-hued shoot sent over by LeeYen of Loblee Photography. Shot in Salt Lake City, these dreamy images have really brightened my morning!
Summer of Love: Veronica & Craig at The Photography Farm
July 27, 2013
Veronica and Craig are pretty much obsessed with their camper van, so when wedding photographer Lisa Devlin asked them if they'd like to model for her upcoming Photography Farm, a 3-day residential photography workshop in the heart of Sussex, they asked if it could get in on the action too! From there an idea started to form for the shoot and Lisa, alongside florist and stylist extraordinaire Hannah of The Tea Set, came up with the concept of a Summer of Love theme.
Creative Without Any Restrictions: Alternative Bridal Shoot at Belt Craft Studios
August 10, 2013
When some of my favourite wedding suppliers get together for a shoot at one of my favourite locations (we shot the Crown and Glory headpieces in the same studio!) I get very excited indeed... and even more so when they ask if I'd like to feature the results afterwards! Wedding photographer Lisa Jane explains, "Elbie posted a picture on twitter one day, asking if anyone wanted to get involved in an inspiration shoot inspired by it and I took one look and jumped at the chance to collaborate with her. Within minutes we also had the lovely Jo from The Couture Company offering to design us a dress for it and Abby From Cherished Vintage offering headpieces. It was amazing to be able to get creative without any restrictions. Everyone let their imaginations run wild."
