Some call it madness, many call it obsession but when I see images like these I just have to blog them right away! Can I tell you, last night I went out with the girls for sushi and cocktails and I woke up fresh as a daisy at 8am ridiculously excited about sharing Steph & Ryan’s wedding, sent to me by the ever darling Kelty of Steep Street. Yep. I is crazy indeed.
A ‘typical’ engagement session this certainly is not. Axioo have gone and blown my mind again! Fun, flirty, hilarious, sexy, cool, crazy and quirky all in one shoot – you’re going to go nuts for these.
Jill & Andrew knew they wanted an Art Deco style wedding as soon as they got engaged. Jill in particular really looked the part in her Priscilla of Boston dress, gorgeous custom birdcage veil from Unveiled Bridal Designs, stunning necklace by Ranjana Khan and customised J Crew shoes.
Jill told me all about their day:
Andrew and I both love the Art Deco period of art, fashion and music. From the first moment he proposed with an estate amethyst rose gold ring from the 1940s (Louisiana), we knew our wedding would be vintage inspired. We love black and ivory and used these colors to create our classic wedding story. Peacock feathers, swing music, and birdcage veils for the belles of the bride all set the stage for our soiree. We fell in love with Savannah because of the ornate iron work, stunning mansions, Southern & European charm and historic standing. Savannah itself represents both of our roots, myself being from Georgia, and Andrew from England. The Mansion provided the perfect backdrop. Both being foodies, we chose tiers of artisan cheese to create our wedding cake from Murray’s in New York City.
