A Romantic, Nature-Filled, Disney Fairytale Wedding with the Bride in Pink!

Stop everything. Immediately. Because you will want to give Mikinzi and Vance’s autumn wedding your FULL attention. This gorgeous pair were hitched at Cedars of Lebanon State Park Forest Lodge in Tennessee and had an intimate celebration that was all about their love of Disney and their love of each other!

“We both love Disney but didn’t want to go cheesy but be more inspired by the idea of a fairytale”, began the bride. “We both love being outside and we wanted to show how truly magical nature is.”

One of the most unique parts of the wedding was that the bride and groom actually exchanged their vows in private, before the ceremony. “We decided to exchange our vows in private before the ceremony. We both were a bit nervous and wanted to read them to each other first to get some of the emotion out of the way before reading them in front of everyone. It was so beautiful and great to just have a moment alone (aside from our photographer) to share our vows with each other. Its a moment I’ll never forget. Our ceremony itself was absolutely perfect. I walked down the aisle to our officiant playing the ukulele and singing So This is Love from Disney’s Cinderella. Our ceremony and vows were very personal and centred around our friendship, love and viewing each other always as equals.”

Nature Inspired Pot Luck & DIY Wedding with the Groom in Dungarees!

If there’s one thing that unifies and defines what makes a wedding a ‘Rock n Roll Bride wedding’ it’s that the couple getting married have a day that perfectly reflects them, their relationship, their families and their love. This is so very true for Tara and Shags who were married at their family’s property which sits alongside Muddy Creek in Delta, PA.

The florist bride did all the decor and flower arrangements (the flowers were all handpicked from their own home), they had their guests bring a dish for the meal instead of a gift, and the groom wore dungarees without a shirt underneath as this was the very outfit he was wearing when they first met. Sweet or what!? Even the entertainment was effectively DIY with the band, Bustle & Bump, being made up of their friends.

“We met at a friends wedding five years ago”, began the bride. “We had known each other for years but exchanged numbers at the wedding. He was shirtless, wearing bib overalls. I asked him what he had going on underneath and he replied, ‘boxer briefs’. We have been together ever since.”

“Our wedding theme was nature and white lace. I grow up alongside the river and couldn’t think of getting married anywhere else. I collected vintage amber glass for over a year in preparation along with yellow or green tablecloths. I wanted the lighting to be mostly natural and wanted to line the tables with candles. My inspiration was the peace and beauty of nature.
