As wedding planners themselves, Alissa and Luke had a pretty solid idea of what they wanted for their own wedding: fantasy, maximalism, and pure joy. They invited guests to go all out and come dressed in their nerdy best, and the result was a celebration that felt like a cross between a cinematic epic and a family gathering. The groom wasn't going to be outshone either - he paired a homemade cape with his rental suit!

Cassie and Curtis matched on Tinder and bonded over a shared love of alternative music. Early on, they made a promise: if they ever got married, they’d do it their way. Years later, they kept that promise with a darkly romantic celebration at the Madonna Inn in California, complete with red velvet walls, golden cherubs, and a red wedding dress inspired by Cassie’s parents’ first dance song, Lady in Red.

Marissa actually began with a vision of 60s glam, Priscilla-and-Elvis style. But the more they leaned into that look, the less it felt like them. “The lack of colour felt sterile,” she said. "I then created mood boards with elements I liked and started calling the vibe 'Grandma Chic'. No one was a fan of that phrasing, so then we started using 'Estate Sale Chic'! Sarah and Spencer wanted their wedding to feel like an extension of their home, their shared obsessions, and the places that shaped their relationship. The Amon Carter Museum of American Art became their ceremony venue, not just because it is an iconic space in Fort Worth, but because Sarah’s own story as an artist is tied to it. In 2019 she held a Carter Community Artist Residency there, a project that shifted her career and cemented her love for bringing art into public spaces. To marry there was less about grandeur and more about circling back to a place that had given her so much.

Taylor and Erik wanted a wedding that doubled as an adventure. They found it in Moab, Utah, surrounded by red rocks, sandstone arches, and the perfect amount of eerie timing. Taylor told us, “We originally chose our wedding date purely for the spooky thrill of getting married on Friday the 13th, but once we realised the eclipse was the next morning, it felt like the universe’s way of telling us: Yep, you picked the perfect time and place to kick off your life together as husband and wife.”

Nicole, from the UK, and Tanner, from the US, planned their wedding in just three weeks. Nicole explained, “Tanner turned around to me and said ‘when do we have two days off together next?’ I looked at our schedules and said April 26th, why?
