20 Alternative Wedding Dresses That Aren’t Beige or Boring

December 11, 2025

Ragged Romances

The Pantone colour of 2026 is Cloud Dancer – aka the most boring, bland shade of white imaginable. No thank you! Honestly though, we kinda enjoy being haters of something that’s going to be popular – because it leaves more room for those of us who want to do something different.

Alternative brides deserve dresses with actual personality, not something that looks like it’s been filtered through ten layers of minimalism. So, here are some of our favourite colourful wedding dresses that will make you feel like the electric, iconic baddie that you are.

1. Brighton by Lucy Can’t Dance, £2,400

Lucy Can’t Dance‘s 10 year Anniversary collection, Atomic Bloom, launches next week but we’ve got an exclusive preview that will blow your socks off! This is their first full double ended dip dye rainbow dress and we’ve got a sneaking suspicion you’re gonna love it!

2. Oskara by LOM Fashion, £795

Doesn’t this skirt just make you so happy!? The Oskara skirt is a fantastically fun and fabulous floor-length tulle masterpiece adorned with layers of gathered tulle in vibrant rainbow colours sewn onto an ivory tulle base. Pictured here with their iconic Bellatrix bodysuit.

3. After the Storm by Hayley Paige, £POA

This multi-coloured tulle ballgown has a draped sweetheart bodice and irregular tiered skirt, finished with removable off-the-shoulder straps and a sweeping cathedral train.

4. Burgundy Truffle by Chotronette, £1,285

Chotronette are the queens of magical colourful gowns but the goth edge of this new gown has our hearts skipping a beat! Made out of shimmery bordeaux brocade, beads and sequins embroidery, velvet and tulle, this dress features a corset, black chiffon wings, a hood and puffy detachable sleeves!

5. Fujiblossom by Claire Pettibone, £POA

If you’re looking for a more romantic, whimsical vibe then Claire Pettibone is your gal. The perfect choice for the fine-art bride seeking to express her individuality. The Fujiblossom gown is one of our faves with its lilac and sage embroidery, and wisteria blossoms and petal appliques.

6. Azzurra by Millia London, £7,750

The queen of tulle never shies away from a statement. Walking into her London showroom feels like stepping straight into every unapologetic princess fantasy you’ve ever had. She’s crafted gowns in almost every colour of the rainbow, so choosing just one feels borderline impossible, but this purple ombre plunge number is something else entirely.

7. Daisy by Bexbrides, £1,250

This three-piece set combines Bexbrides’ Gemini slip dress, Daisy overskirt and Daisy wrap blouse. Her Anti Fast Fashion collection is built so each piece can be worn together on the day or separately long after the wedding. The green, blue and aqua ombre with peacock embroidery gives it a bold colourful vibes that feels as gorgeous as it is ethical.

8. Hello Petal by Holly Winter Couture, £2,500

This statement hand-pleated floral gown features handstitched tumbling green vines and pink roses with 3D chiffon flowers. It features full-length sheer sleeves and is finished with a 3D floral belt. Perfect for flower fairies and forest goddesses alike.

11. Angel of Darkness by Petra Kara, £1,379

Unapologetically powerful and fiercely elegant, the Angel of Darkness gown stands as one of the most commanding creations in Petra Kara’s Awaken Your Myth collection 2026. Designed for the modern muse who embraces her shadows as boldly as her light, this piece channels a feminine archetype rooted in intuition, mystery and inner sovereignty.

12. Florentine by Ragged Romances, £2,950

Ragged Romances, based in Vietnam are one of our newest alt bridal obsessions. We want everyone to know about them! The mixed fabrics spill into a voluminous hand-draped skirt.

13. Lolita by The Couture Company, £2,900

This bespoke creation from The Couture Company reimagines their Lolita design with a corsetted silk bodice draped in lace and tulle, paired with a skirt built from layers of organza, silk, tulle, French gilded lace, feathers and one-off embroideries. It’s a richly textured piece with every detail crafted by hand, designed to feel completely individual to the wearer.

14. Bluebell top & Azalea skirt by Virmaigne, £520 & £570
