The Marriage of True Minds: A Wedding Shoot Inspired by Shakespeare

We shared a few photos from this shoot in our “The Rise of the Temu Wedding” article a few months back, but we loved it so much that wasn’t really enough. So, behold, the full majesty of this epic shoot, inspired by Shakespeare’s Sonnet 116:

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments; love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove.
O no, it is an ever-fixèd mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand’ring bark
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come.
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom:
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

Shakespeare wrote that love is an ever-fixed mark. This shoot took that line and turned it into a visual world. The styling, florals, and set design pull straight from Sonnet 116, not in a literal way but through atmosphere, attitude, and form. The result is a portrait of love as something both constant and evolving.

Wedding planner Antonella Zamboni, who art directed the shoot, and her team of Italian creatives shaped the concept with precision and care. The florals rise like sculptural works. The tailoring carries weight and structure. The setting feels less like a backdrop and more like another character in the story.

“Our concept drew from the timeless and unshakable nature of true love, interpreted through a highly curated, sartorial lens that blends art, fashion, and literature”, she writes. “Every element – from the styling and set design to the floral compositions and visual narrative – was crafted to echo the essence of Shakespeare’s words: love as a constant, unwavering force.”

So whether you take literal inspiration for some more theatrical styling for your own wedding, or you just enjoy swooning over the artistry of these images like we did, we’re pretty sure you’ll be as hooked on the drama of it all as we were.
