Camila and Patrick got married in a castle just before Halloween, surrounded by guests in full costume. The dress code was Halloween-worthy fancy dress and the guests totally knocked it out of the park! Even all the vendors dressed up! And while the couple were dressed in traditional wedding attire for the ceremony, they joined in the costume party fun for the reception.

Instead of lots of posed family portraits or Pinterest-ready flatlays, they asked their photographer to shoot almost entirely documentary-style. They skipped the ‘getting ready’ photos and group shots. What they wanted instead were candids of their people as they were – laughing, dancing, enjoying the wedding dressed in character.

The castle was filled with DIY touches, from handmade Halloween décor to drippy candles the couple made themselves. At the reception, a tarot reader and psychic offered readings for curious guests.

“We didn’t plan every detail. We didn’t follow a timeline. But it felt like us, completely,” said Camila. “And that’s all we wanted.”
