Rachelle and Christopher chose Chateau De Jalesnes in Loire Valley, France as their venue for their September wedding. With its stunning scenery and amazing architecture, it made for the most incredible backdrop, one that didn’t really need too much by the way of extra décor. Choosing a neutral colour palette of black and white kept things simple and elegant.
Their emotional ceremony was held outside, on the lawn in front of the chateau. Rachelle wore a sleek dress by Blush and Ivory Bridal and carried a simple bouquet of white roses. Arriving in a horse drawn carriage, she was met at the bottom of the aisle by her emotional husband-to-be, who wore a white tuxedo jacket.
After the ceremony and photos, guests were treated to an extravagant dinner served outside on long tables, paired with champagne a-plenty. They then had a firework display and danced with their loved ones into the early hours.
Fire and Ice Photography , from the UK, travelled with them to France to capture the day, and from these photos and their incredible video (seriously, you need to watch it!), it looks like everyone truly had the best day ever!

When this photo shoot landed in my inbox this week with the description "Barbie & Ken's wedding" I thought oh christ...what's this?! However I've got to say that as soon as I saw the photographs my initial sceptism and preconceptions were totally irradicated. I laughed as I looked at each photo, set up to show Barbie & Ken getting married and photographed in the way an actual wedding might be. The quality of the photos are totally brilliant - and there lies the hilarity.

I saw this wedding and I instantly fell in love - with the location, with dress and with Cindy & Sebastian themselves. Prepare to be transported into wedding inspo heaven...
The Indonesian wedding was held at St Laurentius church with the reception that followed at Maxi's Cafe in Bandung. The couple were inspired by 18th century french opulence and Marie Antoniette for their theme. They transformed their reception venue into the Gardens of Versailles. "Marie Antoinette has been an inspiration to me since I was very young", explained Cindy. "I remember buying a lot of things related to Marie Antoinette, like grayish blue color apparels, pictures and even cakes that reminded me of her. That is why I chose to take my cue from her on my wedding theme. I searched and decided on things mostly on my own - decorations, flowers, my wedding dress and the bridesmaids dresses, the wedding cake, accessories and ambiance music. I loved how our wedding was filled with details that go back to her era."

Between them, Demi and Steven have degrees is art history, psychology and education so they wanted their wedding to reflect these passions. Initially they thought about having a pop art inspired day as the bride loves Andy Warhol but they then decided they actually wanted something slightly vintage and with an old Hollywood feel. "It seemed only natural that we have a surrealist inspired wedding as we are fascinated by the subconscious and bizarre", wrote Demi. "Surrealism is about desire, frenzy, and unconscious drives. This seemed very appropriate to our relationship. I also like the irony of the intense misogyny of surrealism mingled with the fact that a woman planned everything."

Natalie & Oliver were married in France, at Oliver's parents home in L’Isle En Dodon. The British couple live in The States but made the trip to France to marry surrounded by their friends and family. "The French countryside and beautiful barn were our main inspiration and did a lot of the hard work for us!" explained the pair. "The family setting and DIY approach gave the wedding a really personal touch, which we would never have been able to achieve in a more traditional venue, and gave the wedding an incredibly unique feel. So many people contributed to making the wedding as amazing as it was – it really was a family affair and those invites, certainly a labour of love!"

It seems that recently not a week goes by when I don't get a flippin' incredible wedding submission from wedding photographer Assassynation... This woman is just a magnet for awesome weddings! It must be because so many of her couples find her through Rock n Roll Bride - not that I'm biased or anything but it is widely accepted that that Rock n Roll Bride readers are the coolest couples, like, ever. So when Kenna & Scott's nuptials slipped their way into my inbox a few weeks ago I, as ever, couldn't wait to get them on my blog.
The intimate wedding took place in France and Monaco. The bride & groom just bought their maid of honour and her partner as witnesses. They hand no other guests. The ceremony was at L'Abbaye in La Colle Sur Loup, in the south of France and for the reception, they hopped over the border to Monaco for a low-key meal at the four star luxury resort of The Fairmont in Monte Carlo.
