Adventure Playground Of Fun
August 28, 2009
Carrie & Brian got hitched on the snow-capped Mt. Hood at The Timberline Lodge. Carrie’s amazing dress, cashmere-and-organza ruffle bolero and hair piece with chenille dot netting, feathers and flowers were all designed by
Elizabeth Dye (who I have featured a few times before) an independent clothing designer in Portland, Oregon.
Their wedding was a total adventure playground of fun. To get to the venue all guests had to snow cat up steep snow slopes of Mt. Hood in a near white out snow fall. Photographers Shawn & Bonnie went on to tell me more:
eyond that the night was full of quirk and personal style, from their unique toasts that involved in-unison speaking to their wedding vows that were a written haiku read line by line by each person in attendance.
Thanks for sharing guys!

Steampunk Wedding in the Colorado Mountains: Meghann & Nathan
May 2, 2013
Spring has very much sprung over here in the UK. And as the daffodils start to line streets and parkways, I usually forgo featuring any obviously winter weddings. After all, who want to be reminded of the cold and bleak mid-winter when it's so glorious outside?! Well Meghann & Nathan's wedding was different. They were married in the Colorado Mountains, where snow is a pretty regular feature. They also had a steampunk theme and only spent $2000 on the day, making it a wedding that I just knew you guys would flip out about. So, yet again, my self-imposed rules are being broken today. Oh well!
A DIY Wedding with a Mountaintop View: Larry & Chelsea
December 21, 2011
Have you ever seen anything as beautiful as Larry & Chelsea's mountaintop wedding? Just look at that view! The lucky couple we're married at the bride's parents home (OK I'm now officially jealous) and although it doesn't look like it, they had a small budget to work with.
"Although we had financial limits, hand making everything not only saved us money, but it made everything much more personal and special," Chelsea told me. "I will cherish every hilarious moment I spent crafting and to finally see all our hard work come together was awesome. I never thought I could pull it off and I got it all done in time and I am damn proud of myself!! The essential item to a DIY wedding? Get a dang glue gun girl...Oh and start early!!!"
The bride wore two dresses, the first, from David's Bridal for the ceremony, and the second, a one of a kind custom made dress by Deborah Lindquist.

Masha and Lenya are prolific skiers and so wanted this mutual love to be reflected in their Israeli wedding. The day took place at Villa Dalia, in Moshav Ora on the outskirts of Jerusalem. There was free-flowing alcohol and sports references throughout.

Elia and Joey didn't want a big wedding, instead they wanted something small and meaningful. The day was held at Little Valley Mountain Resort with the ceremony in the chapel there and the reception in one of the cabins!

Devin and Nina were married at the Solitude Mountain Ski Resort in Utah, in May. Her completely stunning dress was 'Josee' by Grace Loves Lace. "For our wedding day I wanted simple, and unique", she wrote. "We were exhausted of going to the same wedding over and over and wanted to do something a little different."
Foggy Mt Hood Autumn Fairytale Wedding
January 24, 2020
Worried about rain on your wedding day? Well, don't! Not only is it something you literally can not control, but Ashley and Andrew's day proves that stereotypical 'bad' weather can make for the most beautiful images and special moments. They were married in October at Mt Hood in Oregon. They wanted their day to have a autumnal fairytale wedding with whimsical touches. They were inspired a lot by nature and the beauty of the area.
Heavenly Mountain Wedding in Queenstown
December 19, 2019
Holy forking shirtballs. Yep, I think the only explanation to these stunning, STUNNING images is that Erin and Steve got married in actual heaven... Because WOW. In reality, the wedding was held in Queenstown, New Zealand but same, same right?
Nicola & Steve’s Intimate New York City Wedding
January 3, 2011
Happy New Year!
I'm starting 2011 with a bang, and the wedding of loyal Rock n Roll Bride reader Nicola to Steve. The couple, from Northern Ireland, were married in New York and Nicola spent a lot of her planning time on Rock n Roll Bride - in fact when she emailed me her wedding submission, I actually recognised her name from all the comments she'd left along the way. It was almost like we were old friends, so of course I I said yes to featuring her gorgeous Rock n Roll New York wedding on these pages.
