I saw a feathery sneak peak of Mary & Stephan’s engagement session on their wedding coordinator’s website and immediately shot and email to Erin & Court asking if I could blog them when they were all ready. Lucky for me they were of course delighted and I got the email this morning to tell me they were up.
I love a gorgeous monochrome wedding. There is something so simple and classy yet totally Rock n Roll cool about doing it the black & white way! We had these colours at our wedding – in all honestly primarily to eliminate the stress of having to colour match everything! Rock n Roll baby!
This couple braved wind, rain and various costume changes to get these awesome shots with their photographer Pat Dy. it goes without saying that the results are breathtaking and not just because of the intense scenery.
Isn’t this just one gorgeous couple? They seriously should be models methinks! Photographer Amelia travel to Utah to shoot this ‘engagement’ (the couple are actually already married, but hey why has a fact like that gotta stop you?!) I really do love props like the old books and the suitcases. They can make or break a shoot and these have certainly made it perfect.
Holy moly I have certainly hit the ground running today, it;s not even 11am and this is my third post of the day so far! I’m sure you can see why the mass posting is necessary though, I couldn’t let these little babies sit in my inbox untouched for long surely.
The ‘Jactonio’ (Jaclyn & Antonio) wedding is more than just a little bit rad. It took place in New York and was a day full of warmth, tattoos, rock music and of course lurrrve.
As soon as I say Ashley Rose‘s different perspective on boudoir photography I knew I had to share these with you. No bed, no ‘sexy’ light, no nakedness or expensive, especially purchased, underwear – in it’s place a serious rock chick surrounded by things that define her personality – the cigarette, the tattoo, the records, the cute stripe socks and her favourite yellow top – these are the things she loves and these are the things that make her feel sexy.
Emma & Chris had their engagement shoot at home with the french bulldog Colby for company. Chris’ sister photographed them using film and digital to get these great shots. I have had such a resurgence of love for film photography recently, I am loving reliving days gone by with the gorgeousness of real film photography so these are right up my street. Don’t this look like they are literally living in the 1970’s? I ♥ it!
Thanks to Emma & Chris for sending me these gorgoeus shots and I can’t wait to see their wedding photographs (which will be captured by the wonderful Katherine O’Brien)
I have very much been looking forward to sharing these rockabilly style, pin up-esque, damn super sexy boudoir shoots from Marin Kristine Photography. Anyone who rocks a pink or blue wig gets a thumbs up from me. These may make a great gift for your future Husband, but nobody can deny you’ll have just as much fun playing dress up!
If you would have told me six months ago that I’d be getting submissions saying ‘I shot this session with Rock n Roll Bride in mind’ I would have said you were totally nuts. In fact I still think you’re a bit nuts but I guess that’s beside the point.
Keira & Dan had a super cute session with Studio Nouveau. The vintage camera, the bright blue wall, the awesome trilby hat – yes I love it all.
You’ve gotta watch the slideshow as well because I just can’t get enough of this wonderful stuff.
Thanks to Lara & Kate of Studio Nouveau for not only thinking of me, but for being super duper adorable.
