Three Dresses & The Wedding of the Century {part 1}

May 11, 2010

As a general rule, I don’t like to feature weddings that have been seen on other blogs. I figure that if they’re on one blog you’ll have seen them and there is nothing more boring than seeing the same wedding/story over and over again…plus that’s why I started Thursday Treats, to give you a definitive round up just in case you’ve missed anything epic in blog land.

However, rules are made to be broken and when I saw Kestrin & Jonathan’s 2 day wedding, firstly on photographer Noa’s facebook and then on uber blog Style me Pretty I knew I’d have to share some of these images with you too. Incredible doesn’t even cover it.

The bride wore 3 amazing dresses. The first, a white Monique Lhullier number. ” It is based on Monique’s “Poetry” dress, and Kestrin requested a change from the original silk tulle trumpet shaped skirt into an A-line with a bustled train. The designers worked with Kestrin to get the exact shape she wanted, accentuating her waistline and de-emphasizing her hips. Before and after the ceremony she added a vintage velvet pashmina for warmth. Kestrin was absolutely STUNNING!” Noa said.

Jonathan wore a black slim fitting Dolce & Gabbana suit, a white Burberry shirt, a not-too-shiny silver tie with ostrich-leather texture,  and black oxford shoes by Prada. All are from Barney’s in Beverley Hills, CA.

The family ceremony took place at Carmel River State Beach and the gorgeous reception was held at Monterey Peninsula Country Club Beach House. All the gorgeous centerpieces, bouquets, corsages, cake decor etc were created by Susie Nadler of Flora Grubb and were simply a perfect reflection of their laidback wedding.

Stand by for part 2 – including dress number 2 and 3. You are going to die!

Thanks to Noa for sharing these with us
