I know I say this, like, a lot…but I really do have the best weddingy-friends! The very lovely Abbey of House of Sugalily has kindly donated two free tickets for the Designer Wedding Show in Battersea, London on Feb 12th, 13th or 14th. The show is set to be a good one with exhibitors including Utterly Sexy Cafe, Magpie Vintage, House of Sugalily, Emmy, Temperley London, Amanda Wakeley, Candy Anthony, Hello! Lucky, Nikole Ramsay and many many more! For the full list of exhibitors clicky here . Plus it’ll be the first year I’ve been able to go (I’m going on Friday 12th) so if you’re there on the Friday and you spot a pink haired beacon walking around come and say hi!
To enter simply comment below before Wednesday 27th January and I’ll pick a winner and announce it in my Thursday Treats on Thursday 28th January. I look forward to seeing you there…

I would love to be able to go to this event! I love all things wedding and I love helping my friends with ideas, tips and tricks! Rock and Roll Bride truely ROCKS! Trust me! I’m spreading the word!
-
Oooh, yes please. Already got my frock, but their catwalk show is drool-worthy! Plus how can you not love anything which hosts the UUtterly Sexy Cafe?!

It would be amazing to able to go!!!! My wedding is coming up in August
so would love to get some great ideas and see some wonderful dresses!!!!!
And you of course!!!! -
Oooh, yes please! I’d love to go along, and would especially like to take a bridesmaid or two since I was super-speedy with my dress buying and got it on my first trip with the Mum (so they didn’t get to join in the shopping fun). We could spend hours cooing at all the sparkly loveliness… aaah. Bliss!

A good friend of mine that I haven’t seen for 2 years has recently got engaged and is around that weekend. I couldn’t think of a better way to catch up and plan forward… She totally rocks as does your site. Thank you!

You’re right Kat – you have the best freinds, what a great freebie!
I would love to go to the DWS, my wedding is in April and soon I won’t have a reason to go to these fabulous events anymore – I think I may become a pretend bride afterwards!!

Hi,
My fiancee is coming over from California from the 8th Feb to the 22nd of Feb; we’re arranging our Rockabilly Wedding for Friday 13th August, and I would f**cking love to be able to take her to the Designer Wedding Show on 14th Feb without her knowing… PICK ME PICK ME!!!
Thanks,
/Phill -
i would LOVE to go – since i’m getting married this year!!

Oooh me me!! me! I am suffering (and have been for a long time) a major and lethal rash like aversion to all things generically bridal. Like taffeta, and naff tiaras. Please help me I need to go to DWS to find funky shoes, some simply beautiful jewellery, cakey cup cake things, and for inspiration as to quite how I am going to customise my dress so that it truly is ‘me’….I need a decent (non cheesy) band for the evening party too…. wedding rings i guess I should think about buying them soon too? I have 7.5 months until my big day….and i’m feeling it x

I was looking for something a bit different for my wedding, a splash of colour – I think that’s normal. But I want a coloured dress which is proving alot harder.
I’m resorting to homemade and fabulous and looking for inspiration everywhere – love the site.
Can I have the tickets, more reasearch and inspiration?
Thanks

It’s just down the road for me so winning tickets would be very handy.
I have been told it is definitly worth the visit. x -
Was lucky enough to go to the show back in 2008 as a Chief Bridesmaid but I am now a lucky Bride-to-Be and would love to reciprocate the great day I had with my now pregnant Matron of Honour! Love the website – am a virgin blogger – thanks for popping my cherry!

Jules needs some serious bridal tips. She’s used to blagging gig tickets not for wedding shows! Bothered about the band and not so much the cake, prefers the blogs to the mags and as for the guestlist… I’m scared, please help!

Hello and welcome to my little blog. My name is Kat Williams aka the Rock n Roll Bride and my aim is to provide a little haven of kick ass weddingness in a cookie cutter, pastel and often puke-worthy wedding world. If you’ve ever picked up a bridal magazine and felt queasy or trawled the internet and felt disheartened by what you didn’t find well, my friend, you are in the right place!
