Can you feel the lurrrve? It’s great hearing from you guys…especially if it’s to say nice things about me! I love getting emails so please feel free to contact me at kat@rocknrollbride.com
Gala Darling galadarling.com I’m really obsessed with Rock ‘n Roll Bride, it is so cute & run by a pink-haired beauty! It is basically a big eyeball thrill of cute couples in love. Some favourites: Big Rock Candy Mountain is the sweetest 1950’s wedding ever. Anarchy in the UK features a fantastic dress, a tattooed bride & a white Morris Minor. Moulin Rouge is exactly what it sounds like. & Cowboys & Indians is all about the rad boots, baby girl.
Vicky Vintage Tea Sets Kat’s blog was a breath of fresh air when I first discovered it and just keeps getting fresher! that’s no mean feat in the blogging world ladies and gents this lady is a wedding guru of the highest order and works incredibly hard to be a source of inspiration across the globe (oh yes). The weddings and photography she features on her blog are awe inspiring to say the least and often leave me thinking…jeeesh, wish I’d done that! but with happily wedded couples and their photographers clambering over themselves to get a mention on her site she gets the cream of the crop and only months later some national mags pick up on some of her pieces, she’s top of her game.
What I also love about her blog is that the focus is not so much about the suppliers which is refreshing, I recall as a bride getting hacked off with the usual fluff being rammed down my neck that I should and shouldn’t have for my wedding. In Kat’s own words “Rock ‘n Roll Bride promotes individuality and general awesomeness in a cookie cutter, pastel pink, poufy dressed wedding world. Don’t let the wedding industry define your day – let *you* define your day” that’s a wedding mantra I wish I’d written just there let alone the blog!
She’s a leading light for individual wedding inspiration with a huge following in the US, you must stop by her blog and check it out and be wowed.
Big love to Kat x
Alison A Hot Pink Petticoat Of the few bridal blogs in my google reader, one that never fails to make me smile is Rock’n Roll Bride. Kat is the one blogger I have come across who I can honestly say posts never seen before weddings and is usually one of the first to post those weddings EVERYONE is swooning about. This is because while Kat is researching to find the very best unknown photographers, they also come to her.
Not only does Kat post THE BEST wedding porn, she also posts about how to blog, invites us into her personal life via personal ramblings and does a fabulous weekly roundup each Thursday showcasing websites and articles she has come across during the past week that makes her happy. I’m not talking about 1 or 2, I’m talking about 20 – 30!! Kat is a beautiful person who spends her personal time creating this incredible wealth of information for us. If you don’t follow her, you need to.
Sharrone FioreFilms.net I swear…you are so awesome! Kat, you should know I adore you and I adore your blog! The concept of Rock n Roll Bride is pure genius. It’s Rock n Roll chic… and I love it! Thank you so much for all your support in Wedding Cinemtography and proving that it doesn’t have to be a cookie cutter thing. Rock on! Much MUCH love!
Greg Lucky Shot Studios I love the concept of your blog – there are FAR too many cookie-cutter wedding images/sites/blogs out there and yours is definitely NOT one of them.
Jen Slot jenslotphotography.com I absolutely LOVE the rock n roll bride blog! Not only because Kat features some amazingly talented people on there but also because of the types of weddings she features. When most wedding blogs are all pastel and sweetness Kat strives to showcase everything but that. Not all brides want a big fluffy dress with perfect little details… some want to be unique and fun, colorful and playful, vintage and hip. No matter what type of bride you are you can see the beauty in what Kat showcases. Its always fun to go back to her site each day to see what kind of amazing things she has found to share.
I have also been featured on Kat’s blog a few times and its great to my work being shared with the masses. The first time Kat emailed me to let me know a wedding I had submitted was accepted I think I ran around the house for a good 10 minutes. I just love her blog and it is an honor to have my work next to other talented vendors.
Kate Dunlop I totally CANNOT believe it. I’ve been looking at various wedding blogs for ages and they’re all based in the US. I am so chuffed to have found (a) one that is from the UK; and (b) still shows utterly gorgeous things.
Yay! Thanks heaps
Angela Labayen I just adore your blog…. it is so inspiring and really, a breath of fresh air! Just freshly engaged and currently planning my ownwedding, which I hope will be featured on your blog too but seriously, I am a fan! I luv the photographers you feature, I just wish they were in Toronto so I can use them.
Sara Keller Thank you so much for writing about such awesome and fun weddings! After Dustin and I decided to get engaged last fall, the constant barrage of what a wedding is “supposed to be” fell straight on our laps. BARF!!! I love reading your blog and feeling like we are not alone in planning a great day, no matter what theknot.com might have to say about registering for fugly china and napkin rings. So thank you so much. Keep up the great work. So thanks again for being so great and giving me TONS of fantastic ideas on how to make our wedding awesome. Your blog has made me love being a bride… not an easy feat.
bubblybride.com Rock n’ Roll Bride is a blog I read that truly highlights brides’ and grooms’ individual styles. The weddings featured here show these quirky aspects of weddings and how much fun you can have when you get creative with the details of your day! I love reading this blog and am inspired daily to think outside of the box from the typical weddings I’ve seen. I strongly believe that there is no such thing as a “right” wedding, which is why i adore Rock n’ Roll bride so much! It encourages not sticking with the status quo and bringing your own ideas into your day.
Danny O’Neill Mintyslippers.com Absolutely loving the blog. I’ve been making wedding videos for 3 years now and no matter how hard we try the brides we come across all seem to want the same thing… a clean white dress at the end of the day. But after I stumbled across your blog I now realise there is hope. Out there are people who want to be different, want to do something that is both visually and emotionally different.
The downside is until we come across such couples I shall continue to be teased by your site.
Cristi Dame photosbycristidame.blogspot.com I heart Rock n Roll Bride because the weddings that are shown are so…funky…and so…rock n roll… I love it!!! Where were you when I was planning a wedding??? You are the dopesickest wedding site ever and I am so glad you are here for all my brides to get ideas and inspiration!!!
Stephanie May Webster Mrs Williams, I feel that I have to highly commend you on your blogging ability, you never, ever fail to surprise me ith your weddingy bloggy delights!
I must’ve spent a good 3 hours yesterday going through more posts than you can shake a swarovski-encrusted Agent Provocateur riding crop at, love it!
thespottedduck.com Talk about eye candy. This blog always features what I’d call “alternative” weddings, meaning anything that differs from yuppy, chicken-or-beef, Vera Wang and Manolos weddings. The brides on here are always rockin’, whether they’re tattooed up the ying yang or just have some serious vintage style going on. And I totally dig it.
Sabine Scherer sabineschererweddings.com Thanks so much for putting the Robyn and Kevan feature on your blog! I just loved that wedding and I absolutely LOVE your blog – so it completely made my day when I saw your blog comment! Yay! I’m actually in the process of planning my own wedding so I have been coming to your blog for inspiration since you have so much awesome material!
bridalwave.tv Rock n Roll Bride is a mecca for gorgeous photography and inspiring real weddings
Jamie itsajamiething.com You are an inspiration to so many, including me. I love how you promote individuality and help brides plan weddings that portray their personal taste & style…and you KNOW I freakin’ loved your wedding pictures, too!
Keep up the amazing work you do on your blog…I look forward to keeping in touch! Thanks for the mention here…cheers!

Thanks for spending so much time, love and effort on a beautiful and inspirational site – sad confession of a second time around 42 year old Bride to Be, but your blog has become my “must read” of the day rather than news and work (ssssh……) Inspirational – and keep it up … I am still trying to find something kinda lovely for cakes, not cupcakes and not mad multicoloured towers….so any pointers would be lovely…
