I think Gareth & I need to do a ‘couple’s session’ soon! Who says you only get an engagement shoot to show of what a gorgeous couple you are?! Kim & Darren…all I can really say about these is le swooooon! I’m still loving the vintage camera trend too aren’t you?
Evan & Angela’s wedding was at the Inn at Laurel Point in Victoria, BC. They had an intimate event with just 20 or 30 guests within their own bridal penthouse suite with an antique/bird theme. They set up a typewriter to be used a vintage style guest book, birdcages around the room and old-time candy for goodie-bag favours. They are both photographers as well so there were antique cameras scattered about as well as lots of shots taken with Evan’s old Polaroid Land Camera. Angela’s veil was handmade by an artist in Portland, OR and her dress was designed by local Seattle designer Chrissy Wai-Ching. It’s a pretty damn amazing dress huh?
Emma & Chris had their engagement shoot at home with the french bulldog Colby for company. Chris’ sister photographed them using film and digital to get these great shots. I have had such a resurgence of love for film photography recently, I am loving reliving days gone by with the gorgeousness of real film photography so these are right up my street. Don’t this look like they are literally living in the 1970’s? I ♥ it!
Thanks to Emma & Chris for sending me these gorgoeus shots and I can’t wait to see their wedding photographs (which will be captured by the wonderful Katherine O’Brien)
Do you ♥ this couple as much as I do? I’m sure that’s pretty much impossible. The checked shirt-dress, the skateboarding, the cyan/teal old bicycle, the sunglasses, the handstands, the vintage cameras. As photographer Mary Wyar said, they do in fact look like they just stepped out of an Urban Outfitters catalogue and I really really love that shop. Oh yes, I pretty much adore Mary & Scott…
Huge thanks to photographer Mary for sharing these, I look forward to seeing more stuff like this as she steps forward and takes her photography in this new pretty damn awesome direction.
If you would have told me six months ago that I’d be getting submissions saying ‘I shot this session with Rock n Roll Bride in mind’ I would have said you were totally nuts. In fact I still think you’re a bit nuts but I guess that’s beside the point.
Keira & Dan had a super cute session with Studio Nouveau. The vintage camera, the bright blue wall, the awesome trilby hat – yes I love it all.
You’ve gotta watch the slideshow as well because I just can’t get enough of this wonderful stuff.
Thanks to Lara & Kate of Studio Nouveau for not only thinking of me, but for being super duper adorable.
