Relaxed & Minimal Massachusetts Beach Wedding

Marissa and Nick bonded over their mutual love of Dashboard Confessional on Twitter in 2014. They finally went on their first date just before Nick left for Warped tour with his band Vanna, and the rest, as they say, is history!

“We knew we’d be on our annual beach wedding when we wanted to get married,” Marissa told us, “so we decided to get married there too. Everything was super relaxed, and due to covid it was just as an our families present. It was so nice to have something that felt normal in the midst of everything.”

Moody and Romantic Autumnal Woodland Wedding

Travis and Romey met five years ago, and were obsessed with each other from the moment they laid eyes on one another. It took a year for them to pluck up the courage to make a move, but once they did – the rest, as they say, is history!

Their focus for their wedding day was to choose what they liked, and to make their day unique to them. Their venue, Haycroft Farm, allowed for them to have their humanist ceremony in the beautiful pine forests on the grounds. “The ceremony was my favourite part of the day,” said Romey. “Walking arm in arm with my dad through the forest to the clearing where our ceremony took place, was an amazing feeling. Then seeing all the people I love in one space, looking at me with smiles on their faces really filled me with so much joy. Finally, seeing my husband with tears rolling down his face at the end of the aisle absolutely so me off – I could barely get through reading my vows! It all felt like a dream.”

Edgy White Sands New Mexico Desert Elopement

Tiago and Ines can thank a certain Mr Zuckerberg for their romance – like many modern love stories, they met on Facebook and the rest, as they say, is history! They’ve never felt particularly enamoured with traditional weddings – feeling that society can often bottleneck you into getting married, so an elopement was the perfect way for them to relieve themselves of all the external pressures that having a traditional wedding can sometimes bring.

Despite living in the UK, and their photographer based in Portugal, they chose White Sands National Monument in New Mexico for their elopement as they both love the desert; specifically how devoid it is of other people! “We don’t thrive in a big city lifestyle,” explained Ines, ”we like empty spaces, with limited (to no!) humans so we decided we would take the wedding to where we’d feel at home… the desert!”
