The Love Boat

I remember this wedding from a few months ago and I’ve just re-found the pictures, aren’t they cute?  The ceremony took place on a beach, with the reception on a boat.  The photographs have such a 7’s vibe to them, it makes me wonder if this wedding was actually from the 1970s!  Can anyone shed any light?

A gorgeous vintage bride and groom…gotta love it!

Edit: I have just received an email from Hannah, the bride, telling me all about their wedding. It was a recent event and the 1970s vibe was exactly what they were going for.

“Our wedding was tossed together in three weeks. Initially we had planned on a private exchange of vows with just our parents present and having a big friend filled party on our first anniversary. I think it started heading in a different direction when we were shopping for shoes (which proved fruitless and we ended up barefoot) and I had a swooning moment when I realized that I would need a lady friend present at this ceremony and so Landon decided he would need his best friend and his best friend would come with his girlfriend and mine with her significant other.”

“After that we just started inviting friends that we’d bump into that week and it slowly grew into the intimate and wonderful gathering that it was. My dress I drew out and brought to a friend of mine that sewed beautiful and delicate garments (sadly she is no longer working on her sewing projects but has moved on to something equally delightful and a great deal more delicious – cooking!) she did a magnificent job even adding “something old” – glass buttons that belonged to her grandmum. Landon had his white vintage suit altered to fit and borrowed a pink button-up from a local vintage store that we were chummy with. After a beautiful sunny ceremony on the beach we all hopped aboard a lovely yacht (courtesy of my Dad) and watched the sunset from the sea, enjoyed delicious beverages, salmon and cupcakes and jams from our laptop on the top deck. At the end of the night instead of tossing my bouquet I took it apart and gave flowers to all my beautiful lads and ladies. It was a truly magical (and with the exception of the yacht cheap) day and I wouldn’t change a single thing about it!”

Parasols and Pomaders

This wedding has been featured on The Bride’s Cafe but I’m afraid I have to post it as well…I just adore this Bride’s chic long sleeved dress, the parasols and the cuuute pomander style bouquet – they shouldn’t just be reserved for flower girls!  I’m not a kiddy person but omg how sweeeeeeeet are these two lads in their little bow ties?

A Sparkly, Diy, Photoboothy Wedding

I featured Abigail & Michael’s DIY, photoboothy wedding a while back on the old Rock ‘n Roll Bride, yet I have since discovered a plethora of many many more gorgeous pictures – and it’s only fair to share share share!

I love the Bride’s dress and style- its so cute and fun and sparkly! It is actually a prom dress and only cost $470!

The couple tried to do everything themselves – from the food to the flower arrangements, bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, guestbook, decorations, bar, signature drinks, music playlists, favors and programs (Phew!)

An Outdoorsy Day

I just adore the simplicity of this wedding – outdoorsy, picnicy, and a cute couple in glasses!  Doesn’t the ceremony look beautiful? I love the guests in shorts and tee-shirts!

Max Wanger – Love and Marriage

straighttilt

There are not too many instances where I am actually blown away so much by the photographs I’m sent that I feel the need to post practically every single one. However today, like last week with DixiePixel (omg so freaking gorgeous), is one of those days (in fact the only reason I’ve omitted a few is because I’ve seen them so much on other blogs – and Rock n Roll Bride strives to be different don’t ya know!)

I was send these photos by Margaux, the girlfriend (and seemingly uber savvy PR guru – I’ve seen these photos on lot blogs – love it!) of Max Wanger – an editorial and up and coming wedding photographer. She says of these gorgeous images..

To be honest, since Max just decided to start photographing weddings he wanted to do an editorial type shoot to reflect his style. Shoko and Julian didn’t actually get married (yet!), but they are an adorable couple and were thrilled to participate. We all felt that this would be a great way for Max to get his name out there. Hopefully this doesn’t deter you from sharing the photos on your site. Our main goal was to showcase Max’s talent and share his beautiful work with as many people as possible — and for Shoko & Julian to get some really cool pics.

Is there any way I wouldn’t want to post!? Ahem NO!!
