As soon as I laid eyes on James & Rebecca’s Melbourne wedding I knew I wanted to blog it. However with photographer Jonas Peterson so in demand by wedding bloggers I thought for sure that someone had beaten me to it. So imagine my elation this morning when I received a tweet from Jonas who asked if I’d like to be the first to blog them…Well of course!
As soon as I laid eyes on James & Rebecca's Melbourne wedding I knew I wanted to blog it. So imagine my elation this morning when I received a tweet from Jonas who asked if I'd like to be the first to blog them...Well of course!
The wedding took place at the 300m Eureka Tower in Melbourne which proved a challenge for their dear photographer who admits to having a fear of heights! The results are, of course, astounding. Quite apart from the intense photography - the details, her multi-layers dress in the most flattering dark white shade and the gorgeous venue - make this a wedding I am more than proud to share.

Oh how lucky we are – two UK weddings in one day! I’m hoping this means that Blighty (thats’ slang from Britian for all my America readers) may be catching up to our American cousins slowly but surely on the old rock n roll weddings front.
Rock n Roll Bride readers Emma & Ian actually found their photographer Philip Allen through a post on this humble blog. Phil told me the whole story:

The Infinite Design team went for something totally different for Brady and Nithya’s wedding trailer. The result is something with much more of a filmic feel – blurring the lines between cinematography and videography so to speak. It evokes the emotion and the vibe of the wedding in a much more subtle way. I totally love it. It brings me back to my university days studying film and makes me feel ever so slightly intelligent again!

Photographers Craig & Chanelle Segerius-Bruce met Andy & Kim way back in 2007 in Zanzibar, when they (the photographers) were on their own honeymoon. The wedding took place at Parley Manor in Dorset and Kim wore a Benjamin Roberts dress. I am loving the vintage VW cars and that amazing sunset!
However my favourite of all these images, has to be the Jeff Newsom-inspired swirly light shot..mean, moody and very very cool.
I am doing a photo shoot with Chanelle soon..I am very excited about it as the concept we have come up with is quite different to what you might be seeing everywhere else right now…hint: I’m getting all crafty with black tulle!

I love Japan rather a lot (have you noticed that about me!?) I love the fashion, the food, the people…the Hello Kitty – everything. In fact I think there is nothing about Japan I don’t like, and Tokyo is by far the most amazing city I have ever been to. So when I clapped eyes on Sandra & Richard’s engagements by the fabulous Tealily Photography I had no doubt in my mind that a feature would be getting underway.
Photographer Trish described their shoot:
Joel and I waited at the old green carriage and the statue of the dog which seemed to be a very popular thing to do amongst the human sea of trendy Japanese and slighty overwhelmed tourists. I had only conversed with Sandra via email to that date and suddenly realised I had no idea who I was looking for until I spotted a couple of sweet faces pull through the crowd. We had decided to catch up for dinner since Joel and I were passing through Tokyo and decided to try and fit in a few shots before the light disappeared for the night.
We weren’t quite sure where to head for these photos in the crazy streets of Tokyo, but Sandra had decided to triple up this date as a bit of sightseeing for us and lead the way.
One of the many things I love about Tokyo is how diverse the city is. One minute your under the bright lights of the Shibuya crossing, then you turn a corner and your right in front of an ancient shrine. I would live there in a heartbeat.
