Laidback Tuscan Villa Wedding via China, Australia & Poland

Kornelia and Gareth’s gorgeous Tuscan festival wedding is proof that the enormity of wedding planning is really worth it, as they were bringing friends and family from literally all over the world (they now reside in Shanghai, China, but met in London, and Kornelia is originally from Poland via Australia!) Their week-long “Charlo-palooza” – “a day is definitely not enough time!” – was essentially a holiday for all of the people they love, and they really got involved in all the small details to make it perfect. And they looked sensational whilst doing it – Kornelia’s Zac Posen-esque dress is the stuff of dreams.

Their week-long festival wedding was held at Villa Ulignano in Tuscany. “They have thought of pretty much everything – as well as having some EPIC bedrooms, the villa had so many facilities for guests (pool, two saunas, underground cinema, table tennis, billiards and even casino games tables),” Kornelia explains. “We put on a few events during the week so people could really get to know each other, like a pizza night by the pool. We sourced some cheap gingham fabric and made basic cushion covers to put over IKEA cushions, alongside gingham picnic rugs. The day after the wedding (when everyone was feeling slightly fragile), my parents hosted a Polish night which consisted of lots of Polish food, including pierogi and of course VODKA!”

Beach Wedding Where the Marvel Universe, VW Camper Vans & Surfing Collide

Simon and Jodie’s midsummer wedding was the best kind of mash-up that brought together all the things they love. Taking place by a beach they surf in Cornwall, the bride described their day as, “Very us – Marvel, surfing, travel, beach, colourful and uncouth – we first danced to I’m a Believer by the Monkees and ended the night crowd surfing.” Judging by the crazy amount of glee you can see on everyone’s faces, they pulled off an absolute cracker of a day, and all for a budget-friendly £6,000.

The way they approached it all was with tons of fun and not taking themselves seriously. “We didn’t try to conform to a theme or a particular look – we just went with our hearts. We had a clash of colours, a large toy donkey, painted skateboard decks, and a dance off. We weren’t caught up with trying to please people or trying to look perfect. Friends said that what made it unique was that they knew it couldn’t have been anyone else’s.” And that right there is 100% wedding goals.

Laidback Vegan Wedding in Brighton

Violet and Jacob didn’t choose the plant life, the plant life chose them. And that’s why their super chilled Brighton wedding day was a totally vegan affair with tons of gorgeous donuts, pizzas and other goodies. They married in a low key, intimate ceremony with just 35 guests at Brighton Town Hall, with part one of their reception following in the coffee shop where they first met. By approaching their styling in a laidback way and their family and friends all pulling together to provide various services, they managed to create this gorgeous day for under £5,000.

Violet said, “Our aim for the wedding was to have a really nice day and throw a big (ish) party in celebration of our love, surrounded by our favourite people and eating great food. To us it didn’t make sense to eat food we’d never eaten before, or throw a party somewhere we weren’t familiar with, so we chose to give our guests food we knew we loved and took them to places that meant something to us. Part of our reception was held at Bond St. Coffee, where we met, which is owned by a friend of ours. We’ve met so many wonderful people here, some of whom were at the wedding. Most of our suppliers were friends of ours and people we know, so I guess friendship and community was a big part of it. We also didn’t have any bridesmaids or groomsmen in the traditional way, and there was no seating arrangement, so it was all very relaxed.”

Sassy and Romantic Two-Day Festival Wedding in the Welsh Mountains

ARE. You. Ready. For this wedding? It’s the lushest wedding of all time – full of good vibes, gorgeous people and INCREDIBLE suppliers. Brace yourselves, get a good drink in hand and take a breather because you’re going to need to mentally prepare your mind and body for this two-day festival anti-wedding. Captured by the incredible Jessica Withey Photography and immortalised in video by the super cool Costa Sisters Productions

Toni and Lewis’ big day took place on a belting Saturday in July, in the Sugar Loaf Barn in Abergavenny, South Wales. It’s actually a working sheep barn that’s cleared out to hold a handful of weddings each year, making it a super quaint venue that’s a million miles away from providing what Toni called ‘conveyor belt weddings’. Against anything regimented, the couple just wanted the good times, the music and the drinks flowing.
