Ibiza Club Night Themed Dublin Wedding

Gary and Louise met while working the Ibiza club circuit in 2014, so there was only one theme their wedding could be! It took the pair three long years to choose the right venue, but Gary noted it was worth taking the time to make every decision about their day perfect. “We had spent a long time looking at venues and choosing the right one. We had almost given up by the time we found it, but it turned out to be the perfect location for us. It’s not worth making compromises on anything.”

Their venue hire was by far their single biggest expense, however they spent a lot more than they needed to on their invitations. “We paid a premium because we wanted the card to be thick and glossy, exactly like the flyers of our favourite club night in Ibiza.” They saved money on Louise’s outfit – she was lucky to find an incredible bridal jumpsuit on ASOS for just £120, and it was far more in keeping with their theme than a traditional bridal gown!

An Irish, Halloween Themed Wedding

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, oh have we got the perfect wedding inspo for you today! As Genevieve and Dean both love and enjoy all things spooky, kooky and alternative, they wanted to create a day which was unashamedly about them and the things they love. The plus side of having a Halloween themed wedding? Their decorations now double as permanent home décor!

They originally set a budget of £10,000 – but actually think they spent closer to £20,000. “I wish we’d know how difficult it is to keep to your budget,” the bride told us. “Keep a close eye on that guys and gals!” They did as much DIY décor as possible, from gluing and spray-painting vampire fangs chrome gold for place names to customising picture frames and making their own menus.

Irish Pagan Wedding with Outdoorsy, Festival Touches

A decade after they were set up on a blind date, Chris and Stephen married in a Pagan ceremony at The Hamlet Court Hotel in Meath, Ireland on 3rd May 2019. As they are both musicians and go to a lot of concerts together, they wanted a lot of musical influence over the day. Chris originally wanted to get married outdoors, like a ‘real Pagan’, so they tried to have some woodsy touches too to bring the outside in – and so their weird and wonderful wedding theme was formed!

With a budget of €10,000 they dropped a big chunk on they venue, but it was a big package deal with many extras included. “I know package weddings get a bad rep, but it was a great way to have it all without overspending,” said Chris. “We had a bonus The Hamlet Court Hotel is about as far from a cookie-cutter venue as you can get – it had a wonderfully warm atmosphere there and felt like a little home away from home.” They brought in decor and props themselves, with the help of friends and family – everything from the archway to the confetti was painstakingly handmade.
