Deconstructed

So these aren’t bridal at all but I totally wish they were – please someone be inspired and do something like this for a bridal shoot, how kick ass would that be?!
The model’s hat, necklace and dress are all from Frocky Jack Morgan. Store owner, Julia Barbee actually sells her reconstructed dresses to kick ass brides too, so who knows it looks like someone could rock this look for a bridal shoot after all!

Thanks to Alicia & Kenneth for sharing. MWAH!

Thrift Store Find

A few months ago, photographer Jennifer Williams’ sister found this gorgeous vintage dress in a thrift store for $10. Being the helpful sibling that she is, she knew it would be perfect for a photo shoot and so bought it right away. Jen went on to tell me the whole story:

The minute I saw it I couldn’t wait to plan a shoot centered around it! I
couldn’t get those old images of Bonnie and Clyde out of my head from the
old 1967 movie. Most of my inspiration was centered around that, although
I mixed and matched decades into my own take on vintage fashion. Then I
found out we had permission to shoot at this salvage yard and the shoot
became this beautiful classy take on grunge. As weird as it sounds, that
is the best way I can describe it.

Phenomenal.

I don’t think anybody could dispute that Heather & Grayson of Jagger Photography are ones to watch. Their outdoor portraits are simply phenomenal! Do you remember Maurice & Tasha’s amazing balloon filled (oh yes!) desert day after session? Well I couldn’t say for sure, but I’m included to suggest that Cooper & Michelle’s engagements are even better! Thoughts…?

Thanks to the lovely Heather for sending these images!

Adorability.

Good morning blog-land…how are we all? I just wanted to say thank you thank you thank you for the amazing response to the first ‘How To Blog’ article and I will definitely be writing some more in the future. I have received some brilliant questions relating to the idea of Originality and Connections which I will certainly share with you all soon.

Right, back to the gorgeousness and an adorable engagement session from Australian photographer Tim Harris. I was completely overcome by fashion envy when I saw these, for me it’s all about her delightful dress and his awesome trilby hat!
