Laura & Harry’s Locally Sourced, Eco-Friendly, Midsummer’s Nights Dream, Vintage & Totally Rock n Roll Wedding

Excuse me one second while I scream “EEEEEEEK!” at the top of my lungs, because that’s exactly how I felt when I first saw Laura & Harry’s eco-friendly, vintage-heavy, Rock n Roll inspired backyard wedding. Oh yes, I really do love to feature true Rock n Roll Bride weddings – ie weddings of those that I was able to help and inspire with my little blog. Laura & Harry actually found their fabulous photographer Rosie Parsons and Laura’s gorgeous vintage Fur Coat No Knickers dress after seeing them on the site. Yey!

The vintage theme was infused with A Midsummer’s Nights Dream/literary vibe. The ceremony was held outdoors and all the guests sat on benches in Laura’s Dad’s back garden in Devon. As part of the ceremony, Laura and Harry also planted a tree in the garden and invited all their guests to fill it in with earth which will give them a lasting memory for the two of them every time they visit Laura’s Dad.

Purple Flower Garden

My bestest friend is called Carly so I had an instant affinity to this bridal shoot when I saw it and found out the bride was called Carley (different spelling but same same.) The fact that it’s so damn cool is what makes it instantly blogable. Carley wore a David’s Bridal dress (style 5154, by Michaelangelo) and froliced around a beautiful purple garden for her bridal shoot with Oeil Photography.

Rock the Ages

Lindsey & Ross certainly have that retro cool thing going on – from their 1950s-esque beach shoot to the 1970s hippy chic garden poses, these guys certainly know how to rock the camera…and the ages.

Orange.

Rachel & Geordie are a little bit too gorgeous to keep to myself and the orange motif that runs throughout the images – from her shoes and flowers to the Mini (bought by Rachel’s Mother a week before the wedding!) and the JCB (!) – is just too damn awesome. The wedding took place in Rachel’s parents’ back yard and really had the stylish vintage vibe going on.

Rachel’s stunning 1920’s inspired dress was custom made by her good friend (and clothing designer) Mireille Stettler and Geordie complimented her perfectly with his casual look.

Thanks to the gorgeous and super talented Brittany for sending me these!

A Feather Love Wedding

The very gorgeous Noa of Feather Love Photography ran a contest to give one lucky couple free wedding photography (plus a few extra treats including a blog post on eastside bride.) Not wanting to take anything away from the blog du jour I just really just wanted to share some of these gorgeous images and send you on your way over to eastside for all the juicy details (but be sure to come back – I have more gorgeousness to share today!)
