Free Wedding Photography For all with Hannah Millard Photography!

Hannah Millard is a budding wedding photographer from Derbyshire, UK, and in order to shoot the kinds of weddings she wants to (ie yours!) she would like to offer the readers of Rock n Roll Bride the chance for free wedding photography! Just to make this clear, this is not a competition. Hannah is super keen to shoot more alternative and Rock n Roll weddings, and so if you think you’re wedding fits the bill and she’s free on your wedding date (and it’s before 1st July 2012) she will come shoot your wedding for free!

Too good to be true? I think so! Quick…before she changes her mind!

“I started shooting weddings in 2010, after years of wondering whether or not it was wise to turn my passion for photography into a full time job,” Hannah told me. “Deciding to set up my photography business was the best decision I ever made. I love getting to know the couples I work with, becoming part of the family for the day and capturing the fun and emotion of the day.”

“My favourite weddings are those which are brimming with individuality and unique details, with couples determined not to plan a day full of what they’re told weddings should have, but to put their stamp on it and do it their way. I’m really keen to shoot more weddings like this and so I am very excited to offer Rock n Roll Bride readers free wedding photography. This includes up to 8 hours coverage, a complimentary engagement shoot, informal consultation and USB stick of all the final, edited files with a license for unlimited printing and sharing online for personal use. This would be perfect for couples planning a wedding on a tight budget, who hadn’t thought it was possible to stretch to booking a photographer. In return, I would have lots of examples of wonderful, individual weddings to use on my website and for advertising so that I can book even more of them in the future.”

“I am based in the Derbyshire Dales but more than happy to travel anywhere, provided that travel and accommodation costs are covered by the couple. This offer is open to weddings taking place before 1st July 2012 and you need to contact me by 31st December 2011, and will be eligible providing I do not already have that date booked. I would also like to offer Rock n Roll Bride readers whose wedding date might not be covered by this offer a 25% discount on all my packages when they contact me, quoting Rock n Roll Bride.”

For info on either one of these fabulous offers drop Hannah an email, telling her a little about your wedding plans to hannah.millard@gmail.com NOW! Remember to include your names, wedding date and location.

Christine & Simon are getting married on 12th May 2012 in Oakham, Rutland, UK

Simon and I still have a way to go with planning but we do have lots of brilliant ideas that will be quite unique to us!

The actual wedding ceremony will take place at our town’s church, mainly this is convenient but more importantly Simon’s parents and his grandparents were Wed there!  Our general theme for our wedding is an English Country Wedding with a shimmer of elegance (nothing too shabby chic).  Our evening reception will take place in a Marquee on the grounds of a beautiful country house, very private and exclusive.

After the wedding breakfast at around 9pm we will have an ice cream and cookies bar served with every sauce and topping under the sun!  It will be a lovely evening twist to get rid of the dreary finger buffet!  We will also have milk and hot chocolate to wash it all down with.

My dad’s brother is kind enough to be walking me down the aisle on my big day, unfortunately my dad was murdered back in August 2010.  He was a big lover of life and wanted to live life to full, so having an amazing photographer capturing my day would be magical.  I want the vibrancy of the day and the close family ties to show through my pictures.

Secondly, I just wanted to let you all know that I’ve been invited to take part in Photo Night Live – an online, hour long show all about photography. The show is titled “Blogging 101 Showcasing Your Life Online” and we’ll be filming on Wednesday via Skype (which I’ve never actually used…should be interesting!) I’m being interviewed alongside a new photographer, Ali Lovegrove, who wants to get better at blogging. I hope to be able to talk her (and you!) through some of my blogging tips and tricks.

If you’ve got any questions about blogging or social media stuff that you’d like me to try and answer, tweet them to @photonightlive by 5pm (GMT) on Wednesday 23rd March 2011.

You can find out more info on the show here.

WIN Free Wedding Photography from Xanthe Roxburgh

Everyone deserves to have fabulous wedding photography. Fact. After the wedding day is done, it’s the one thing that’s there for the rest of your lives, to remind you of your special day. However not everyone can afford a professional which is why I am seriously excited that Australian photographer Xanthe Roxburgh would like to offer one lucky Rock n Roll Bride reader Free Wedding Photography and a free engagement or day after shoot!

And the best bit? Even though Xanthe is based Down Under, she is willing to travel world wide to shoot the winning wedding! All we just ask is that transportation and lodging costs are covered if it’s more than 100km outside of Newcastle, Australia.

“I’m a lover of life, taker of photographs, chronicler of the world,” Xanthe says. “An inveterate people-watcher, I love catching the emotions and expressions of my subjects; everyone has a story to tell, and it’s often written on their face.  My style is quirky and funky with a liberal dash of romance thrown in.”

“I am inspired daily by the beauty of the world and the people around me, and I am always honoured by the trust people show in me by inviting me into their lives to document their weddings and families.”

To enter, simply email me on kat@rocknrollbride.com, with the subject header “free wedding photography? yes please!” and, in no more than 500 words, tell us about your plans for your Rock n Roll wedding. Are you having an unusual theme? Are you on a teeny tiny budget so are DIYing the lot? Do you have some unusual plans for your ceremony? Or are you jumping ship and having an elopement, just the two of you? We’re not just after the wackiest theme or most crazy ideas, all we ask is that your wedding reflects you and your partner and that it ROCKS!

Please also include an inspiration board to share your ideas and wedding theme. For ideas on how to do this, check out the finalists of a similar contest I ran last year.

Please also include your names, wedding date (wedding must be taking place between July 2011 and July 2012) and location (venue if you have it, if not then where you are in the world) plus a recent photograph of you and your beau – all of which will be published on the blog if you are a finalist.

You have two weeks –  until Sunday 20th March 2011 – to get those entries in. Then, myself and Xanthe will then pick out top 3 finalists who will all be put on the blog to face the public vote for one week. Then, whoever gets the most votes wins this amazing prize!
