A Sunday Kind of Love – Princess Lasertron NEW Wedding Dress Range

Oh yes, you read that right! blog-land favourite and all-round supplier of cool Rock n Roll Brides, Princess Lasertron (you will know her from her vintage felt & button bouquets) has expanded into making…wait for it…wedding dresses! Oh YES, believe it baby – and with prices ranging from just $300 (for a jacket) to only $550 (for the full length dress) not only are they flippin’ gorgeous but so so affordable too!

The Fall 2010 range currently has 11 designs in it – from the short and spunky to the long and glamorous. All of the dresses are bespoke & made to order and to your specifications and are created from 100% silk or organic cotton. Each dress is fully lined and all of the embellishments are hand-done by Princess Lasertron herself. “Getting a package from me is fun because I wrap it all up beautifully and include extra goodies,” she told me (and I can personally vouch for that beauce I bought a headband from her a while back it came in pink tissue paper!) Each design is custom-made so can be made in ANY size. Simply drop the Princess an email for more info.

What a nice thing this was to wake up to on a Saturday morning…I thought I’d share Iwith you too because I hope you’ll like what I had to say on one of our favourite bits of the wedding – dresses!

Maria Lluïsa Rabell – Magical Dress Inspiration

This is not the usual post I put up but sometimes there are exceptions to be made. I received an email from reader Claire the other day who told me “I nearly died when I saw these dresses”. Hell, I can see why. Serious swoon-fest over here. I want them all!

The Barcelona-based designer Maria Lluïsa Rabell blends contemporary subtle lines and elegance with amazing technical flair and ability. Unique, out-there and original. Have you ever seen anything like these? They have such a magical, romantic feminine feel don’t they?

Three Dresses & The Wedding of the Century {part 2}

Is your mind ready to be blown?! 

 Half way through the reception, Kestrin changed into a green vintage number. Made by Rebellion Dogs, Kestrin said: “It felt like I was wearing a ladybug tutu, an absolute dream.” She found it on a whim, just before the wedding, at Talun on Echo Park Blvd in LA..

Day 2 of the wedding started out early, at Palace Hotel, San Fransisco and after finding some cute vintage  pantaloons, she and photographer Noa embarked on an impromptu 10 minute boudoir sesh! They them got dressed up again in their glad rags and headed to the Day 2 reception which was held at Flora Grubb Gardens in San Francisco, an exquisite plant and tree store run by Jonathan’s older sister. About 300 guests attended.

All that Jazz

This fabulous 1920s Vogue-stylee fashion shoot was sent over to me by Donna & Mark of Archibald Photography and I actually couldn’t wait to share them with you! The shoot was commissioned to to photograph the new collection of 20s inspired wedding dresses from Lindsay Fleming called ‘All That Jazz‘.  Lindsay Fleming Couture are award winning bridal designers based in Scotland. The gorgeous headpieces used were supplied by Baba-C Designs.
