Their wedding took place just before Christmas at The Daffodilin Cheltenham, a fantastic converted 1920’s Art Deco picture house Steve tells us, The vintage theme continued throughout the wedding and I have to say I wish more couples would go down this route. I think it’s so cool and stylish. Hannah and Ali both looked amazing, but their guests also made a huge effort and win the award for best dressed guests ever!
Is it just me or did Christmas just zoom by!? The build up is always huge and I can’t believe it’s all over with now. As blog-land slowly wakes up after a much needed rest (not me..too much of a blogaholic I am…take two weeks off? Are you nuts?!) I’m still swooning over the many Crimbo-related submissions I’ve been receiving. Catie & Dave’s engagements stood out as soon as photographer Lisa sent them to me. Not only is Catie a huge fan of Rock n Roll Bride (she gets instant kudos and jumps the the front of the featuring queue for that one) but the couple’s shoot is nothing short of spectacular. The Christmas lights really bring the shots alive and how can I resist the fact that to propose, Dave got ‘Will you marry me?’ inked on his arm, thank God she said yes!
With Christmas literally hours away (eeek) you’d be forgiven for thinking I’d be winding down for the year and blog land would slowly have become a lonely little place. Naaahh my darlings! I have found a bumper number of awesomeness to share with you, to round off your pre-Crimbo week with a BANG. This may actually be the biggest Thursday Treat ever. I’ll be talking a few days off for Christmas but will be back early next week as usual. The posts may come a bit for sparsely but I will certainly be here. I hope you enjoy perusing these little gems and I’ll see you on the other side. Happiieee Chrrrismas…
Specially outside my front door, as it is currently snowing…woo! Will we finally have a white Christmas this year? That would certainly be awesome indeed. Let’s see what I’ve been spending my time doing this past 7 days shall we?
♥ Shhh! An incognito New York Photographer is running a photo shoot contest. Incognito because they are keeping their identity a secret so not so influence the entries they receive. They say, In an effort to only attract the most creative, I have decided to remain anonymous. I do not want contestants going to my website for inspiration on what they think I may be looking for. I want them to be creative and original. I realize that this is unorthodox, but I truly believe this will enable me to find the type of contestants I seek.
I would love it if a Rock n Roll couple won this. Come on you can do it!
♥ Living TV are still on the look out for a Rock n Roll couple to take part in the next series of Four Weddings. If you’re in the UK and getting hitched between now and March then get in touch! For anyone who hasn’t seen the show before, here’s the info from the production team:
We are casting for the second series of “Four weddings” which see’s 4 brides attending each others’ weddings as guests and they will judge & score the day as a whole based on four categories, The Dress, The Food, The Venue and The Overall Experience. The scores are not disclosed amongst the other brides until after all the weddings when it will be revealed whose wedding has been judged the best! The bride with the highest score at the end of the show will win a Luxury dream honeymoon. We would really love a real variety of weddings celebrating different cultures and personal interests. We would love to include a gothic wedding or burlesque wedding, however we’re open to all sorts of weddings. This wedding would need to be taking place in December, January or February.
♥ I love posting videos to make you happieee
You may have seen this – it’s all over the internet, but my husband showed it to me on Tuesday and I melted (and laughed!)
