Emotional COVID Wedding inspired by Coburg & Cairns

Vika and Tyler’s inspiration for their June 2020 wedding was ‘home’. The split their photos between a tropical rainforest greenhouse, to represent Tyler’s hometown of Cairns, Australia, and the old town of Coburg, Germany for Vika’s hometown. They wanted to bring their worlds together for their day.

Due to COVID restrictions, Tyler’s friends and family were unable to join them from Australia, so they ended up having their own party for the couple down under and joined in throughout the day over FaceTime. “It almost become two parallel parties on two continents,” Vika told us, “which is pretty cool when you think about it!”

Classic Hollywood Wedding in a Botanical Garden With a Blonde Bombshell Bride

Botanical Gardens are pretty stunning in themselves, and make a real a showstopper of a wedding venue. Add that to a bride and groom channelling all the glamour of old Hollywood and you get a hands-down winner of a day.

Morgaine and Kyle met via a dating app. Kyle was the first person she spoke to – and the last! They said, “It was really easy and we were absolutely perfect for each other… It’s quite creepy when we look back at it! We don’t really believe in things like fate but maybe there was a bit of that sprinkled into it! After our first date at the pub, it was clear that this wasn’t just an ordinary meet and greet – there was a ridiculous amount of humour and affection. We both knew this was unlike any date we’d experienced.”

It was actually Morgaine who proposed to Kyle, he explained that “She thought, ‘Well, if he can ask, why can’t I?’ so she bought me some vintage onyx cufflinks from eBay and started planning the proposal. One of our favourite bands, Flowertruck, was due to play just before Christmas 2016, so Morgaine got in touch with them and asked if they would like to be part of the proposal. They were thrilled, and she arranged for them to stop mid-gig to announce that she had a question to ask me. Once they said that she (in the middle of the crowd) dropped to her knee and asked me if I’d marry her. I said yes, and the rest is history! We used this story as part of our celebrant Nathan’s intro during the ceremony.”

Elegant & Botanical Twin Peaks Wedding

With a £17,000 budget and a shed ton of amazing ideas, Rebecca and Callum planned a Twin Peaks inspired wedding at The Sefton Palm House in Liverpool.

“To quote Twin Peaks, our theme was ‘both wonderful and strange’,” began the bride. “Our huge inspiration for our wedding was the wonderful and unique work of David Lynch in particular Twin Peaks! We wanted to have a wedding that was full of references and features from the show, without it being naff, we wanted guested who had never seen the show to come, and get it and think it was a beautiful wedding with a quirky well done theme!”

“I honestly felt everything about our day was unique”, she continued, “there was this amazing atmosphere through out the day, everyone was so happy and you could really feel the love. Our theme really echoed our quirky sense of humour and style and we were able to incorporate some traditional elements of a wedding into a very unusual theme which was very surreal as they went hand in hand!”

Bohemian Cactus Farm Wedding in Palm Springs

Courtney and Sanford met at work ten years ago when Sanford came in to cover a shift. They were both wearing the same black women’s jeans and spent the whole time shamelessly flirting and laughing together. During their decade long romance they lived in different places (him in Arizona and her in Southern California) so would often meet up halfway in Palm Springs. When they came to planning their wedding they knew it had to happen there. Their theme was a groovy Palm Springs, classic rock, boho and Halloween mash up!

They had a budget of $14,000. “We definitely had a vision from the start,” began Courtney. “It’s challenging working with a tight budget in Southern California but we both have an eye for good design and details, and with that we were able to be really creative and resourceful! More than anything we wanted it to be warm, fun and very us!”
