Rock n Roll Bride is a wedding magazine for people that hate wedding magazines. This is why I started my entire business, as the antithesis to everything I disliked about the wedding world while I was planning my own wedding. Nothing about that has changed, in fact, I think it's something we're leaning into even more as the brand and business has grown. We really just want to show you that you DO NOT HAVE to have what's trendy, popular, cool or 'normal' when you get married. The landscape of the wedding industry looks very different in 2020 than it did in 2007, but there is still so much work to do. There are still things to question, things to shake up and convention and expectation to reject. It's our job to show you the way, it's your job to make your own decisions about what you want and DO NOT WANT your wedding to be. If you agree with me then you are going to LOVE the latest issue of Rock n Roll Bride magazine, which is on pre-sale today!

Matt and Jo turned their July wedding into a full day-long festival, that they just happened to also get married at! “We basically wanted to put on a festival for all our friends and family to enjoy,” said Jo, “and to make it as easy as possible for people to attend and have a nice time. In the world of weddings, where love is celebrated, a dark shadow lurks behind the veil. Bisexual erasure is prevalent but so often overlooked. At first glance, the wedding industry is getting so much better at being inclusive and diverse. Magazines, blogs and social media accounts show many love stories and cater to many preferences. However, bisexuals seem to be one of the groups who are so often forgotten or even purposefully excluded.

It wouldn’t have been a spooky themed issue without a suitably gothic editorial. For our cover shoot in our Sept/Oct edition, we used two models so we could show both the light and dark side – and we think the interplay and contrast between black and white really works. And yes, you can definitely bring a gothic vibe to your wedding look while still wearing white!

After deciding to get married in 2018, Sara and Mark began to plan their wedding in the UK complete with a large guest list, a woodland setting and tipis, festoon lights and a whimsical, autumnal theme. Sadly, their venue went into liquidation so they had to cancel everything and start again. They were going to go to Vegas, but then THAT got cancelled due to COVID so they had to start planning all over again! This time, and after all the stress and two cancellations, they opted to do something entirely different.

Claire and Ralph own a small pub, so naturally they got married in a working brewery! With a budget of just £4,000, they pulled off both an intimate family wedding at the registry office, and then a few days later a bit party for everyone else. "We chose to get married around Halloween as it's my favourite time of year", Claire told us, "I also wanted to bring in my love for all things celestial."
