Rustic, Beer Themed Wedding with a Temperley Wedding Dress

Charlie and Duncan were lucky enough to score a gem of a venue for their wedding – Outfields Farm in Bedfordshire. Usually used for holiday accommodation, they had their reception in the barn usually used as a bunk room, and the whole bridal party were able to take over the holiday cottages adjacent for the whole weekend. Many of their other guests camped on site too. As it wasn’t an advertised wedding venue, happening to belong to Charlie’s bridesman’s parents, they’re convinced they managed to achieve what they wanted from their big day for a third of the price of hosting it in a manor house or country club!

Being able to stay over the nights before and after the wedding meant that there was a real party atmosphere for the whole weekend, not just the day itself, which is just what Charlie and Duncan wanted when they began their planning. The couple took their inspiration from the rustic charm of the venue itself and their love of relaxed days spent in pub gardens with friends, family and dogs. They wanted it to be as personal as possible, and the input of so many friends and family ensured the day was completely tailored to their tastes and passions by those who knew the couple best.

Mexican Inspired London Working Men’s Club Wedding

With a gorgeous (but demanding) 15 month old daughter together, Jen and Pip needed their wedding to be relaxed, informal, and to fit in with their busy lives. With a £12,000 budget, they eschewed any traditions that didn’t suit them, and planned a day that was informal and fun for everyone.

They tied the knot at Lambeth Town Hall in Brixton with close family and friends present, after travelling to the ceremony together in a black London cab. “To be honest, it was quite rough and ready,” laughed Jen, “which we didn’t really mind but it was quite funny! During the ceremony, the registrar rattled through the her script at such lightning speed, she didn’t pause for breath so our friend could read the poem he’d spent the a whole month preparing!”

Strawberry Cheesecake Forever: A Beatlemania Themed Wedding

Mary and Benton chose a Beatles themed wedding because, well, who doesn’t love the Beatles?! They are both graphic designers by trade, so details are super important to them. They went to town with thinking of all the little touches they could make for their Beatlemania themed wedding; they designed all their own stationery – from their concert style invites to their Yellow Submarine themed orders of service, record style save the dates (complete with personalised album covers!) and ticket stump style RSVPs.

They had Beatles artwork for table names, and band member figurines for cake toppers. They decorated their reception venue with more Beatles cover artwork, and even brought Abbey Road to Minnesota by printing a giant poster to use as a photo booth backdrop. Instead of traditional wedding cake, they chose strawberry cheesecake. They used the colour yellow throughout – shoes, ties and flowers, which is a great way of keeping it on theme but doing so as a subtle nod.
