Big Top Photo Op

The Bride, Andie, from the fantastic-looking No Frou Frou Please wedding has sent me some more amazingly cool photographs from their ‘Big Top’ themed wedding.  You can check out more of their day here, but I’m all about their photo booth – oh my God, the guests totally got into the whole fancy dress thing didn’t they!?  The outcome is absolutely hilarious!  Ic couldn’t possibly post all the brilliant photographs here so I urge you to go and check them all out, like now…

Edit: The photographers that shot the photo booth, send me a link to their site.  Check them out here

Groom Style – Eric (+more)

This post isn’t all about the wicked groom styling, but it’s a good place to start…

I really do love when you send me your own weddings or photography!  James Moes literally just send me this wedding he shot in July last year, and isn’t it so Rock ‘n Roll Bride-esque?  In his own words “Chuck Taylors (Converse to us UKers) + suspenders + aviator shades (I have a serious aviator fetish!) = rock star wedding. A thrilling dance party.”

Awesomeness….(and the lighting is flippin’ fantastic!)

Irreverent and Brilliant

Greg Piche has emailed me with an amazing wedding he shot in Santa Rose, California last August.  His photography is so unique – I love it!

He says of his style:

“I’m really interested in creating something cinematic, dusty, burnt, old and a bit irreverent.  I realize this is highly against the grain when it comes to wedding photography (most stuff is super saturated, highly glossy, etc.) but that’s just my style.  Because it’s different my style generally self-selects my client base – folks who are typically urban, crafty, and seeking something a bit different from the norm.”

But isn’t that just fabulous?  You know me, I love anything different!  Check out this wonderful wedding and I dare you to tell me these aren’t amazing photographs!

Greg is actually a commercial photographer who is lucky enough to shoot about 15 weddings a year, therefore for him (and his small team) quality defiantly trumps quantity, and doesn’t it show here?

No Frou Frou Please

I’m afraid my knowledge on this wedding is slim to none as it’s one of my finds from my extensive flickr browsing!  I not only love the Bride’s outfit but the bridesmaids are definitely kickin’ it!  It just adds to my argument that getting your bridesmaids to wear what they feel comfortable in is the way forward – just ask them to stick to a colour scheme..the effect is quite frankly wicked!  They’ll still look like ‘team bridesmaid’ without looking like ‘team frou frou prom dress’
