Spooky season is well and truly upon us, and although we definitely don’t need it to be October in order to share amazing Halloween wedding content, any excuse to share more of it is all good by us!

If you’re getting married this month we just know you’re going to love everything about Jessica and William’s day. From their ‘dripping blood’ cake to their coffin invitations, the bridesmaid’s skeleton getting ready outfits and the ’til death carved pumpkin… keep reading to find out just how they did it.

The pair were hitched last October 31st, in Dahlonega, GA at Juliette Chapel & Events Centre. They both love Halloween and the woods so it was the perfect date and setting for them. The bride wore a custom made black wedding dress with jewellery previously owned by her mother and grandmother.

“Despite COVID we proceeded to have our wedding anyway”, the bride told us. “Nothing was going to stop us from getting married on Halloween. We had just 15 guests instead of our planned 140.”

Before their ceremony they did a first look and exchanged personal vows by themselves. It was a really special, intimate moment, and both of their favourite memory of the day. Afterwards they had their formal ceremony in the woods.

“As a violin played music for everyone in the woods close to sunset, we go married in the beautiful woods of Georgia”, Jessica explained. “We had black lit chandeliers and eucalyptus décor everywhere. We also did a blood ceremony during our vows.”

They went all out on the theme with décor such as a ‘Til l Death neon sign, custom coffin menu cards, black tree centrepieces with ravens, blood shots in vials (vodka and cranberry/grenadine), black chandeliers with real candles, a ceremony floor covered in eucalyptus and black cake pops with red velvet cake inside. For their rings they had a custom made a coffin with their wedding date on it.

“The best thing about planning our wedding was the fact that we made every decision together. From the invitations down to the cake, we both researched and found the things we both loved – to have the most spooky wedding possible. We loved every minute and cant wait to renew our vows, with a hopefully even spookier party!”
