Ana and Juanjo met through work. After dating for seven years they had their son, Mario, and seven years after that, on June 20th this year, they were married in Casares Costa, Spain.

“We didn’t have any particular theme for our wedding, we just wanted to be us and our guests to be themselves!”, Ana said. “We love music from the 60s and 70s and the Woodstock music festival so I guess that inspired us a bit. We also love American country music which was the inspiration for my outfit. The wedding was held in the South of Spain, overlooking the ocean. The beach location worked really well with this variety of styles. It really came together very well.”

Ana’s dress was handmade by her mother. The fabric had belonged to her for 30 years, and she’d kept it especially for her future wedding dress. “The wedding was such a special day”, she continued. “It was such a beautiful place on the beach where everybody I love could enjoy the great company, food, music and drinks! Everyone was so happy. All our family and friends were smiling, talking, singing and dancing. We felt the love of everybody there.”

The ceremony was held at ‘Torre la Sal’, an ancient Moorish lookout tower on the beach. “My favourite part of the wedding was as I walked alone with my bouquet made of daises to get married! As I walked the 80 metres to the tower I could see everyone waiting for me and I was really nervous. But from around 20 metres away I saw my groom and son waiting for me. I looked at his eyes, he was amazing. His eyes were shinning and full of love, and then all the nerves flew away and I began to really enjoy the day!”
