Hayley and Hoots were married in Auckland, New Zealand. After a church ceremony their had their quirky and fun reception at The Sapphire Room in Ponsonby.
“I was totally inspired by anything vintage”, wrote Hayley, “which started when Hoots proposed to me with his gran’s engagement ring. I loved looking at family photos of their weddings and I loved the idea of a mismatched wedding with not one particular style, colour or theme.”
“We also wanted to make sure we all had a good time so we had quick easy speeches. We originally didn’t want a top table but we went for having our parents sitting with us which was a special touch, and we had long banquet tables for the guests. We wanted it to feel like a comfortable family and friends Sunday roast banquet with plenty of food and drink.”

Courtney and Nick wanted a day that didn't break the bank. They managed to keep the costs down by shopping in charity shops, accepting help from family and friends and DIYing a lot! They put the flowers together themselves, had a playlist instead of a band or DJ and made their own stationery. Both of their outfits were "lucky finds on the internet". The designers didn't matter to them, only that they liked what they wore. The bridesmaids had dresses from eBay.

People often ask me if I ever get bored of blogging about weddings. I can see why because usually once you've been doing something - anything - for as long as I have been doing this, it's natural to think that you might start to become a little 'over' it. Filipino born Ariane & Jonathan now live in New Zealand, which is where they chose to have their May wedding. The 3pm ceremony was held at in the vineyard of the Ascension Wine Estate in Matakana. "We wanted to showcase how New Zealand is part paradise and part home with our wedding, Ariane told me. "Marrying in a vineyard in the dead of autumn, what could be more gorgeous than that? Ascension Wine Estate was the perfect backdrop for us. The theme was a mish-mash of our passion for travel, photography, literature and the French countryside. We didn't really set something in stone, but in the end, the travel-bohemian theme dominated, with hints of shabby chic and vintage."

Rachel and Neil were married at Derwentwater Youth Hostel in April. Having a small budget of just £5000 didn't stop this couple going all out though. The bride wore two dresses, the rooms were was filled with amazingly creative décor ideas and they even had a bouncy castle! I can't say I ever remember featuring a Polish wedding on my blog before, but if this is the kind of standards they're setting, then I seriously should be posting more of them! There's so much wedding gorgeousness in these images I can hardly contain myself.
Martyna & Piotr were married in Warsaw. The ceremony was held at Jablonna Palace and the reception was at U Różyca, a private farm just outside of the city and right by Lake Zegrzynski. The reception was basically one big party! Laid back, unpretentious and with everyone pitching in to help.
