Flaunt It with Fur Coat No Knickers & Win the Dress of Your Choice from the New Collection!

In some ways I’m a terrible wedding blogger. I am ‘real wedding’ obsessed and I love to see the ins & outs of people’s actual weddings or read about their experiences, but in terms of what’s going on in the ‘industry’ I usually couldn’t give a toss. It’s also extremely rare that I ever get excited by anything to do with bridal fashion and I try to avoid fashion shows at all costs…sorry but they’re usually such a yawnfest. However when it matters, when someone actually does something new or exciting I do then get really passionate, chomping at the bit to feature it as soon as possible – often with a lot of extra exclamation points!

Laura & Emma of Fur Coat No Knickers have been long term friends of the blog. They loaned me dresses when no one knew who the hell I was and they always have Cava on the go when I pop into their central London boutique. We’re clearly a match made in heaven. So when they told me about their idea to create their own line of wedding dresses, inspired by their most popular genuine vintage styles but with the fuller figure in mind, I literally whooped with joy.

Introducing, Flaunt It

The collection is made up of five dresses, each designed with original vintage styles in mind. Laura & Emma have taken their combined experience of over 20 years in costume design (working on productions like the Lion King, Shakespeare at the Royal Shakespeare Company and shows at the National Theatre) and 5 years of owning their own vintage wedding dress shop and created this one of a kind and truly exciting capsule collection.

They say, “We love our vintage dresses. But the one problem with them is not being able to fit the more curvy figure. Vintage dresses are, by their nature, on the small side. Although we do search and search for more realistic sizes, there have been occasions where we just can’t help. We hated that. So we set about designing a new collection, that would be every bit as beautiful as all the dresses in our shop, but available up to a size 22. And that collection is called Flaunt It.”

“We based our designs on vintage dresses we have found and loved over the years, with shapes that are very flattering. Then we set out to find fabric that, when hanging in our shop next to the original dresses, didn’t stand out as being too modern. And with a mix of carefully chosen, beautiful lace, tulle and silk organza, we managed to achieve just that. We also wanted our customers to be able to customise the dresses, by taking away sleeves, adding different fullnesses of petticoats, coloured binding, sashes and headpieces and by tweaking the fit to the individual. Just like we do with the vintage dresses.”

“We did this shoot in our own shop and called up some of our past brides to model for us! We wanted to show how amazing these dresses look on real girls and not on models.”

And here they are ladies, aren’t they beautiful?

Gin & It

Gin & It is a cute but funky, knee length sixties style silk organza skirt, with pretty ivory lace illusion bodice and duchess satin trim. The skirt is full silk organza with a deep double hem. The dress goes perfectly with cool shoes, a silk sash and a bound petticoat.

Just like it’s namesake, Bellini is an instant classic. A fifties inspired, warm cream bodice with an elegant boat neck and lace overlay with a slightly longer silk organza skirt. Bellini is also available sleeveless and looks lovely with a birdcage or classic veil.

Beauty Spot

Beauty Spot is a tea length, fifties style halter neck dress with a sweetheart neckline, a dropped waist, the tiniest dot tulle and duchess satin boned duchess waist panel. Instantly flattering this is sure to be a best seller.

Loved Up

For the romantic bride, Loved Up is perfect. The forties tea length tulle skirt sits perfectly with the cut through dropped waist bodice and lace motif trim. It’s beautiful open neckline and hand-applied lace detail is utterly stunning and the dress can be made with or without small lace ruched sleeves. Loved up is perfect with a veil or just a flower and lace hairpiece

Champagne Fizz

The breathtaking long-length thirties style Champagne Fizz is made in a stunning flower ivory and delicate metallic lace overlay with an illusion bodice. The diagonal cut of this gown is super flattering as is the flowing skirt. Pretty waterfall sleeves and diagonal front sash can be added on request. This baby would look incredible with long drop earrings and a deco style headpiece.

The Flaunt It collection starts from £1195.00 and is available right now with sample sizes ready and waiting to be tried on in their London shop. 1. Laura

why, I’m a lesbian and I’m about to propose to my wife to be! we have spoken and plan on having our commitment later this year… truly and entirely in love since day dot 🙂

  2. Sinead

Wow! What beauties! Gin&It is a stunning dress and it has truly made my Monday! After three spine operations, I have so many body hang ups and am terrified of finally succumbing to the big day of ‘dress shopping’ I’d love a Fur Coat No Knickers dress as I’d love to feel as carefree and confident as your models on my wedding day! To find a dress that will flatter and fit perfectly is a real anxiety- these are not just completely wearable shapes but super pretty too!

  3. Donnie

    This is an amazing comp.
    The Gin & it dress.
A because Gin is my favourite drink and B it’s just gorgeous!

Wedding is taking place on my birthday on October 19th. We have a budget of £1500 for the whole day so finding the perfect dress with that amount is near impossible. Everyone keeps telling me to get second hand but because of my ‘unique’ figure it’s harder than it sounds.

Winning this would be a dream come true because no matter where we get married I would feel great. It would cover up my crappy tattoos and lumps and bumps that no one wants to see!

Good luck to everyone that enters!

  4. I’d love a FCNK dress because those fabulous ladies take everything that’s terrifying about getting wed and make it fun and personal. They flip it around and make it about the real you feeling gorgeous, not pretending to be something you don’t want to be. It’s not fancy dress, it’s a fancy dress! (Wedding May 2014)

  5. Heidi Arscott

Unfortunately for me 🙁 we’ve not set a date so I can’t enter the completion BUT I know where I’ll be going to buy my dress. These are right up my ally 🙂 Good Luck Ladies x

  6. Post author

Might be time to set that date Heidi! haha. When you do though, you HAVE to go see them. BEST WEDDING DRESS SHOP IN LONDON (imho) 😛

  7. Charlotte

They ARE the best wedding dress shop ANYWHERE!! (that’s me laughing into the champagne glass at the top) xxx

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE – Laura and Emma truly rock 🙂

  8. Ruby

I love love love these dresses!

I’d like to win one because being a fuller figured lady, these dresses are practically made for me.

We have a real small budget DIY wedding, and I haven’t got my dress yet, but the one I’ve planned is cheap and cheerful. Funnily enough, our budget is getting smaller not bigger, due to promises being retracted. Everyone says you should have your dream dress, but I thought I have my dream man so I can manage, even if I was in my dressing gown 😉

BUT if I did get the chance to wear my dream dress, I would absolutely wet myself (but not on the dress)!

  9. Kerry

It has to be the Bellini! I love this dress! I am getting married on Friday 13th June 2014, and everyone keeps going omg really! We aren’t bothered in the slightest I quite like being different, I am not a girly girl but I love this dress, my fiancé asked me yesterday whether I was going to wear a wedding dress as he can’t see me in the big meringue etc… and i won’t be!! I think this would be the perfect one! Would go perfect with my Vivienne Westwood shoes and easy for me to bust some moves in!

  10. Sarah

Stu and I are getting married on the 2nd of September. I fell in love with FCNK from the first moment I saw them on your blog but quickly resigned myself to not being able to buy one of their dresses firstly because of my size (less than vintage, shall we say!) and also because of my budget! I adore Champagne Fizz, it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for but have been unable to find and it would compliment my ‘vintage medical’ wedding perfectly! Xxx

  11. I love the Bellini! It’s perfect! My partner and 2 yr old daughter got down on one knee on the Realto bridge in Venice last October and we went for Bellinis afterwards, when I wasn’t looking my 2 yr old was taking sips from my glass- don’t report me! Getting married on October 26th 2013 xxx

  12. Lauren

I’ve been past Fur Coat and No Knickers dozens of times but have always dismissed it. I have to take a cocktails of tablets daily that sadly have left me with what I endearingly call “steroid syndrome”- there’s no way I’d go into a vintage shop as I just know nothing will fit!! A bespoke range is perfect and I don’t need to feel the pressure to lose weight, if it happens it happens! We’re getting married on December 14th 2013, a lovely dress would make me feel a million dollars, whatever my size! 🙂

  13. Emily

Well this had made my day! Who would not want to wear a dress named after the actual drink of the gods, namely gin?? Not me 🙂 And because every wedding dress shop I have been to so far has squidged me into corseted, ruched, shiny monstrosities, and when you ask if they have any shorter dresses look at you like you are not a PROPER BRIDE to want such things. And because I have already bought my wedding shoes (it’s on 7th September) and I could not imagine a better dress to show off their pink wonderfulness. And because I also now want that birdcage bow veil now, just to wear at work, as it’s so damn awesome. And I already have a fur coat, and the second part is easily arranged 😉

I hope those are good enough reasons!

  14. I second Charlotte’s comment. Laura and Emma are so much fun and Carla, Charlotte and I had immense fun on the shoot – which predictatbly ended in the consumption of lots of bubbles and cake despite the 5am start! I can honestly say the wedding dress shopping part of the ‘big day’ was the best part because of these lovely ladies.

    Can I do it again?

  15. Katey

Oh man, if I won one of these dresses, I would wear it with a (faux!) fur coat and no knickers 😉
I’d love to wear one of these dresses because my man will be just getting back from Afghan in time for the wedding, I’m looking for something that will compliment his RAF uniform which hasn’t changed much since 1915 and I’m also looking for something which will take his breath away! Normally I don’t place great importance on looks but I want ‘that’ look on his face when I walk down the aisle!
If I could save money on the dress then the guests will definately be getting a welcome g&t 😉
I’m getting hitched in December 2013 and my favourite from this collection is Loved Up, perfectly named 🙂

  16. Lou

I don’t want to win because I already bought my dress from FCNK! It’s the place dreams are made of and I’m so excited they’re now making dresses for bigger brides. So just a quick comment to say yey for their new range, and good luck everyone 🙂

  17. Lucy

Wedding date is set for the 8th June. I’ve already been looking at the FCNK dresses and I would love to win the Champagne Fizz dress.

Its a DIY wedding & to win a wedding dress would be such a help with the budget.

    Fingers crossed.

  18. Wrenoir

These are lush; Beauty Spot floats my boat like you wouldn’t believe but I am having a homemade wedding dress 😀
Good luck to all who enter though!

  19. Tifa

I want to be a FCNK bride simply so I can tell people what that stands for! How can you say, Fur Coat No Knickers and not smile??
Also, the ‘GIN & IT’ is flipping adorable! My fiance and I will probably do the whole City Hall thing soon and have a big family wedding in the next year or so and it would make the perfect elopement dress. It just needs red heels and leopard-print coat!

  20. I would love to win the Bellini dress for my wedding in Las Vegas on 4th September 2013. To be able to showcase such an amazing British brand such as Fur Coat No Knickers in the US would frankly be an honour, and the Bellini style fits in so well with my wedding venue! Also, the dress will get to be worn twice as we are having a big party at home when we return from honeymoon, which is a good job, as I’ll love it so much I’ll need another excuse to break it out!

Great competition, keeping my fingers crossed! Naomi x

  21. Amy D

This isn’t too enter – I am lucky enough to already be a FCNK bride – but seriously EVERYONE else needs to enter!!!! Right now!!!! do it!!!!! These dresses are amazing and the girls at FCNK are the best ever ever ever and will make anyone (no matter how self conscious) look and feel bobby dazzling!!!!! 🙂

  22. Amelia J

Ooh! These dresses are beautiful and I must enter as I could never afford one. Big day is August 1st this year and I can’t flipping wait. So, here’s my shot at the competition…

There once was a girl from Brighton,
Whose bum was quite big, it frightened!
    A wedding dress to find
    And food on her mind
She asked the dressmakers, “will it tighten?”

Her fiancee said darling don’t worry,
I’d marry you tomorrow in a hurry
    Your simply Devine
    You’ll blossom and shine
So stop eating birdseed, have curry!

Rock n roll bride came along
And fur coat no knickers wasn’t wrong
    I knew I’d feel pretty
    Like sex and the city
    I’d even consider a thing.

So please please pick me I’m hoping
I’m curvy but boy am I coping
    Your shop is the bees
    I’m down on my knees
Make me a bride that’s not moping!

  23. Sam Price

    Hello ladies,

I would love, love, love to be given the honour of wearing one of your beautiful dresses on my wedding day. Like some of the other entrants my VERY long term boyfriend (I feel too old saying that word now lol) are on a super tight budget and I have been looking for such a long time to find a beautiful vintage dress to wear on our 1940’s style wedding day which will be 30th August 2013. But being a very boring dresser usually and having curves I should just embrace (I am a chocolate fiend) my confidence in entering ‘wedding shops’ is wavering greatly.

I have been a fan of you Fur Coat No Knickers girls for quite some time now, I found you here in Kat’s blog and only wish I could wear one of your dresses on our big day. It would be truly awesome for my husband to be to see me dressed like a ‘real’ woman for a change. And I can assure you that I would cherish every moment I have it on. This would be the best incentive I need to try to be healthier and get into better shape. Save a girls day and pick me, I promise I would be a worthy winner.

Good luck to everyone else and hope you all have the best wedding possible.

    Sam x

  24. Carla

I am going to third Charlotte and Kelly’s comments!

Ladies – even if you don’t win the competition – you must must go and see Laura & Emma if you would like an individual dress that fits your personality….I never thought I would find a vintage dress to fit me (I’m the one wearing ‘Gin & It’ – which is really similar to my wedding dress) but I did. Not only did I come away with an amazing dress for my wedding day but having had a bl**dy brilliant time at my fittings with my BM’s. Ladies you are so super talented and ‘Flaunt It’ is GENIUS.

    Carla x

PS they didn’t pay me. Honest. I just really really love them, (in a non-stalker way)

  25. louise

hello! because i love the dresses! and im plus size and finding a nice dress in my size and price range is actually impossible, we are both staff nurses and work hard and earn little. we’ve been engaged for 6 years! i dont fit the cookie cutter wedding shape or look and is so disheartening when i have size 10 friends on diets for their weddings this year as they dont want to be a “fat bride” i want to show people that even bigger girls can look good and you dont have to conform to look amazing, my geeky, goth esque, rainbow wedding needs a dress to top it off!

  26. Emma Neville

    Hello, what a prize!!
I have spent many years being ridiculed and bullied for not being slim and “normal”. I have battled with my weight and apperance from a young age and have recently had a baby which has taken its toll on my body.
I don’t feel that women need to be slim and stick thin to be beautiful anymore. I have always loved 1950’s style and have been looking for a dress like the GIN&IT!!
As my Scottish fiance and I got engaged and as I started to plan the wedding we had a happy surprise that we were expecting our first baby. wedding on hold!
we have now decided to get married 12th October 2013 and due to us having a very small budget I am not able to have the dream wedding I had planned since we got engaged. I am making the wedding cake myself and we cannot afford a honeymoon. At the very least I hope to have my dream dress if I cannot afford my dream wedding.
If I won the honour of being a FCNK bride I wouldnt care where we got married or what we danced to, as in that moment wearing one of your dressed time would stand still for me and just for a moment I would feel like the perfect bride/wife&mother.

Good luck to everyone but I do hope you make my dream come true.

  27. Donna

What an amazing competition, my heart nearly jumped out if my chest at the thought of actually entering. I would absolutely love thd opportunity to wear any of those beautiful pieces as I’m 8 months out from our October 26, 2013 wedding and I haven’t had that moment yet with a dress…. Mainly due to lack of money as we are saving all our pennies to fly our photographer over from the UK. What more would go better with a UK photographer than a UK dress?!

But my heart now breaks a little as this competition isn’t open to me being all the way over here in Australia….

  28. Nicole richardson

I am hoping it is ok to comment on behalf of my friend who is getting married on 5 October. Kerry and her bloke are ridiculously in love “sigh” and are planning a simple wedding to share with close family and friends. And I am a bridesmaid yippee!!
They are strapped for cash though and are relying on family and friends to help with flowers and table dressings etc so I thought it would be lovely to try and win them a beautiful wedding dress to help make there day even more special 🙂

  29. Caroline

I tried on a lot of 50s style dresses and was convinced this was what I wanted for our wedding but none of them seemed to work for me as a ‘curvier’ lady. Having one especially designed with a more voluptuous girl in mind would be amazing.
Wedding date is 27th September 2013 (eek!)

  30. Zoe Holiday

I am getting married at the top of Rockerfella centre in NYC this Christmas and need am looking for an equally beautiful and dramatic dress to match the backdrop of the Big Apple. Typically English and girly with a NYC Christmas twist 🙂 x

  31. Zoe Holiday

I am getting married at the top of Rockerfella centre in NYC this Christmas (23rd December) and am looking for an equally beautiful and dramatic dress to match the backdrop of the Big Apple. Typically English and girly with a NYC Christmas twist 🙂 x

  32. Fiona Harkins

I am hoping to win this beautiful competition in order to complete the beautiful 50’s theme of our wedding on the 12th of October this year. It’s taking place just outside Edinburgh in a beautiful converted stables. I am the most excited person around at the moment!

I have made a scrap book over the last months of all my favourite RocknRoll Bride wedding inspirations and the entire site has helped me on my way to plan the big day while finishing my final semester of my degree! You guys have made planning a pleasure!

The Gin & It dress is certainly a favourite, although it’s nearly impossible to chose from such a beautiful selection. This is my ideal dress style. Accentuating what I have (boobs and a slightly smaller waist) and hiding what I don’t have, killer legs! Perfect to show a girls natural curves off!

    Good Luck everyone!
    *Fingers crossed!*

  33. Becky

    Our date is September 14 2013 .

My fiance surprised me on new years eve under the twinkling stars in a beautiful town in BC Canada. (which is where we will be celebrating our union !!!! )

after almost 6 years of being together

(not to mention our 2 beautiful kiddos !!)

this is where our story continues . oxo .

would love to be rockin’ a dress from the flaunt it collection … thank you fur coat no knickers for making this possible

  34. Laura

Oh my goodness. I didn’t think I had a ‘dream dress’, but I think Champagne Fizz might be it (THE LACE!). And it might actually FIT me. Halle-fricking-lujiah. Being plus size and thanks to the dreaded Wedding Industry I’d given up on the idea of wearing a beautiful dress that will look good and most importantly make me feel good, but the ethos behind this post makes me want to reach through the screen and hug you all. It’s totally out of my price range so I would love to win so I could ditch my ‘good enough’ dress that I need to somehow squeeze into. My wedding date is 4th May 2013 (eek!).

  35. Eden Bluebell Peskett

I am posting on behalf of my mother, Greta who is getting married to my dad, Phil, this June to celebrate a whopping thirty years they’ve been together. My mum and Dad have been together since she was fourteen. And my dad was sixteen, they had matching 80’s punk hairstyles and an exciting, albeit skint, life growing up in South East London. My mum had never been one for marriage as my grandparents had never been married, and so she never felt it was important. Until now. You see, my dad has been home for just over two years now, as he served a six year prison sentence elsewhere, we have finally got our lives back to normal! We moved to Devon eight years ago and set up a home there, ready for my dad’s long awaited return. And now, my mum has got a great job at the local secondary school and my dad is a plumber who sings and plays harmonica in The Monkey Gland Blues Band. It is safe to say that they are enjoying life in their mid fourties together at last. Last year, my dad sprung the idea that he really wanted to get married to my mum, after being found looking at venues online with my sister, and so she agreed that they would get married this June for their thirty year anniversary with me and my sister as bridesmaids (woohoo!). It would be a relatively quiet event… Well i say quiet, my family aren’t exactly that sort! Let me say then, that it will be an intimate yet lively wedding, with lots of homemade food and jars with flowers in and lots and lotttts of music! So, we get to the dress! My mum has had some trouble for finding a dress, she’s doing the wedding on a very small budget and so, is looking for a dress around the £100-200 mark and keeps looking at beautiful lace, short wedding dresses, just to make her a bit jealous that she can’t spend loads of money on one. She finds it hard finding dresses that look right on her as she is only 4′ 11” and so we are going dress shopping soon. I know her ideal dress would be the Bellini or the Gin and It; they are so gorgeous and so elegant. I know that even if she doesn’t win this competiton, I am glad that I shared their story, it has been hard but what partnership isn’t without its trials? It is all worth it in the end. My parents have taught me how to love, how to cherish a relationship and most of all, how to be patient and forgiving in order to make a relationship work. Our motto isn’t ‘make do and mend’ for nothing! So, here’s to my parents!

  36. Zoe Lodde

Dear Kat and Laura and Emma,
Let me tell you all of my dilemma…
Because now you’ve got me scheming, wishing,
how I might somehow win your competition.

You see this bride is on a quest
Looking high and low for the perfect dress.
I would be overcome with glee and pride
To be a ‘Fur Coat No Knickers’ bride.

It’s my dream to undertake the duty
Of transforming to a vintage beauty,
O how my Handsome I’d beguile,
Whilst starting married life in style.

Tis true my friends, with joy I’d wail
if just to wear a birdcage veil.
I’d skip and whoop and twirl and float
    in a silk organza petticoat.

I’ve searched the land for the perfect fit,
It just might be the ‘Gin & It’
This is the biggest prize of all,
Help this Cinderella go to the ball!

We do not yet have a date set for our wedding but already have our notice should proof be needed. We are hoping to be spontaneous and do it in the next 6 months once all the finer details are arranged, the dress being one! And with a big party afterwards for all our friends and family so another chance to wear the dress!

    Good luck everyone,

    Yours hopefully,

    Zoe x

  37. Abigail

I would love to wear one of these gorgeous dresses on 28 December 2013 for our celebration! (Which thanks to yesterday’s MP vote might be a wedding now and not a civil partnership!!)
I can’t think of anything that says “wedding” more than dancing in one of these lovely frocks with the love of my life in our adorably quirky venue: a sort of shabby-chic loft in North London that is filled with fairy lights and candles! Thank you 🙂

  38. Joanne Cardon

Just over a week ago I visited FCNK and fell in love, not just with the dress of my dreams, but with Laura and Emma.
With Laura’s help, I tried on a number of dresses but fell in love with Beauty Spot. My eyes brimmed with tears as I swirled around in it and realised that this dress might be ‘the one’, something I hadn’t thought was even a reality, let alone a possibility.
I’m getting married to my fiance, Tom, on 26th October 2013. We’ll have been together for 12 years by the time we get married and we’ll have our little boy, who’ll be three by then, to help us celebrate with the rest of our family.
I desperately want to put this dress over my shoulders and dance around in it forever, but as yet the pennies to make it mine are still growing on the tree. I think I would forever be in love with Laura and Emma, and Kat too, for making may dress dreams come true.

  39. Anna miners

I’m crazily dieting to get into the tiny vintage dress I bought on a whim, despite my fiance telling me i look gorgeous anyway. I would love a fcnk dress because then I could stop the crazy diet and eat macaroons again and still look good on my wedding day. I am getting married in June this year

  40. Amy Smith

Hey Everyone! First of all – good luck to everyone and for gawd sake, post your pictures afterwards!
I’m getting married on the 27th of July this year and I’m so excited. My Fiancée and I met through my online blog (I wrote ridiculous opinions on music/fashion and films and he had a podcast) We spoke on MSN Messenger and the phone (Oh the days!) for about three years before he finally plucked up the courage to ask me out – three months later, he moved into my Glasgow flat and we got a cat called Buckley. We had a huge argument three years later and at the end of it he said – oh for god sake…just marry me then!
It’s taken us two years to save up for a very very modest wedding, mostly all of my inspiration has come from RnRB and I can’t thank you Kat for that enough. I went into FCNK last weekend to have a look around – I fell in love with almost everything, including an amazing white fox brooch that I just have to have! Planning a wedding has been hard emotionally as my Dad is no longer here to walk me down the aisle, I’ve been very touched though when my twin brother agreed to give me away and I’ll feel very proud to meet my husband to be at the end.
I can’t wait to marry Rob, sure we have HUGE arguments about who is drying the dishes but he’s my best mate, and I can’t wait to start married life with him. Soppy bit over, I would be so thrilled – SO thrilled to be wearing one of these dresses on my big day. It’s so lovely of you guys to give one away and I would be over the moon to dress up for the day in a bellini…ok maybe a Gin and It…ok maybe a loved up. Argh! I can’t decide!
As I say, good luck to everyone – I’m sure you all deserve it.

Wow…. What Fabulous dresses and what a Fabulous competition….

My favourite is DEFFO the Gin & it dress… This is my ideal dress design … I am not the most confident of people when it comes to showing my flesh… The lace detailing is exactly what I am looking for… I want to show a little cleavage but feel covered up too and the same for my arms. I have two children and since their births my cleavage isn’t the best so I hate feeling exposed… I hate my arms a lot as to me they seem manly as I suffer with a little more hair than most women… (Hate to admit it but I do) … The length of the dress and material is exactly what I want… I want to feel girly and playful on my wedding day, I want to wear a pair of quirky detailed shoes that fits in with my rainbow themed wedding…so this length of dress again would be ideal and i deffo do not want to be wearing a long wedding dress and feel like it is getting stood on or getting in people’s way…

Me and my partner have been together 15 years in this coming September and we have two daughters (now aged 13 and 10)… So I can’t think of anything better than getting married and having my two girls by my side when I do… We haven’t set a date yet though but we are about to start making it all official…. And we are hoping to book a venue shortly and I
Am hoping to book the date Friday 13th of December 2013 (13/12/13) …. To us the number 13 isn’t a bad omen so what a better way than getting married on a very superstitious day to some people of Friday 13th…Which to us would be the ultimate magical date to choose… and especially In the year 2013 🙂 ….. Fingers crossed I can book this date and hopefully wear a fantastic dress too….

Oooo can’t wait 🙂 Good luck everyone 🙂 xxxx

All the dresses are stunning but Bellini and Beauty Spot are something else. Utterly gorgeous.

My long-suffering bloke, Ben and I are getting married on 7th September at Chester Zoo. So far, I have ventured into one wedding dress shop in Manchester on a day out with my bridesmaids and I was just utterly gutted by the treatment I received. Rather than show me any dresses at all; the shop assistant just kept harping on about how “most brides” want to lose a bit of weight before the wedding. It didn’t take a genius to understand what she was trying to say was “There’s no point showing you any dresses because you look like a whale,” Sufficed to say, I have not returned to any shops and have been hunting online for a dress.

It is such a breath of fresh air to see a company actually producing dresses for the curvier ladies – particularly those of us who actually enjoy being a little bigger. (If I lose weight, my boobs will disappear and that is just not an option!! 😀 )

I would love to win one of these amazing dresses and feel like a beautiful, curvy-licious, FCNK lady on my wedding day.

Plus; I’m hoping to have purple shoes on my big day and need a dress just that little bit shorter to show them off!!

To win this comp would be amazing my partner and I have been longing to find a suitable dress and I must say that the new collection is Truely beautiful, amazing and awe inspiring. My fiancé and I are due to be married on 25/10/2013 the closest to halloween we could get at our chosen venue. We initially planned a wedding however in May 2012 we discovered that we were to have a baby boy who due in March 2013. We are delighted with the idea of meeting him soon. However as we have had to re-jig the budget to compensate unfortunately the inital wedding plans including the dress is one of the items which has been put on the back burner. It would be amazing to hear that we have won a wedding dress and therefore we could relax a little more and re-start to enjoy the planning of our wedding knowing that one aspect has been sorted.
Thank you for the opportunity to enter this comp
Ill keep my fingers and toes crossed and we look forward to the possibility of hearing from you soon
    Beccy and Carl.

I am getting married August 31, 2013 and I have yet to find a dress that I love and can afford!! The dress I fell in love with looks exactly like the Loved Up dress! We are having a 50s wedding with teal and cherry red as our colors. Backyard wedding at future sister-in-laws place in Bow, Washington complete with BBQ and a borrowed ’57 Chevy Bel-Air. We are going to be dancing to Elvis, Sinatra and my mom and little sister will be singing a duet of “Chapel of Love” as I walk down the “aisle” outdoors. My fiance and I have a 4 year old together and we’ve been putting off the wedding since we had Stella because she was a preemie and we figured with her in the hospital for 4 months after she was born, everything else could wait. Now that we were finally able to set the date, now I just need a dress to complete my long-awaited day!! Rockabiliy amazingness will insue!!
Please make my 50s wedding complete!! I absolutely love Kat’s website and have gotten some great ideas for my own wedding through her. Thanks for all the inspiration!
