Thursday Treats – 14th April 2011 (Party Time…Excellent!)

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 6 months, you can’t have failed to notice that tonight is The Rock n Roll Bride PARRRTAAAY. Oh sweet baby Jesus (thanks for my new favourite non-cuss Jasmine. Gareth said I’ve been swearing too much recently…whoops.)

Aaaaanyway, I am so excited. Nervous but bloody bloody excited. As you can imagine today I’m a little on the busy side organising party ‘stuff’ so they’ll only be one post today…but it’s a gooden and it means you get Thursday Treats a little earlier in the day than usual…woo-to-the-hoo!

If you’re coming to the party I can’t wait to see you all later and drink some of these…

Thursday Treats – 7th April 2011 (+ Happy Birthday to ME!)

Photography Credit: Josephine Sicad-Minerva (You can see the whole beautiful wedding here)

Today is my favourite day of the year…because to day is my BIRTHDAY! I’m 27 today and I know people say this every year, but I feel old…old and very grown up! This last year has been pretty mental and my life has been flipped on it’s head in the last 12 months, but I’ve got a feeling that this next year is going to be even better. Who’s with me?

Because of this day of celebration, this week’s Thursday Treats is a little shorter than usual. In essence, today I plan to mostly be found eating ice cream and sushi (not together though…), opening presents (I hope), going shopping (undoubtedly) and generally treating myself a lot (no question.)

So see you tomorrow my lovelies and I hope you enjoy these special birthday treats!

Thursday Treats – 17th March 2011 + Winner of 5 VIP Tickets to The Luella’s Boudoir Wedding Fair Announced

MAC’s newest collection, ‘Quite Cute’ (launches in April) is quite simply perfect for me. Credit cards at the ready girls!

It’s been a pretty exciting week for me this week. I was sat on the London Underground yesterday evening with photographer Penny McKinley-Rodgers (who had come to meet me to take some behind the scenes shots of my preparations for my catwalk debut at The Luella’s Boudoir Wedding Fair on Monday.) I turned to her and said…”Wow, my life is weird huh? How do I get myself into this situations?”

You see I’d just spent the day having my pink head crimped and coiffed at a hair trial, trying on some pretty darn stunning wedding dresses and meeting lovely people who’d made me lovely things to wear down the catwalk.  I’ll be posting the pictures to show you how my day went on Saturday so I hope you’ll pop back then to see them.

Talking of The Luella’s Boudoir Wedding Fair, I’d also like to thank everyone who entered the contest to win 5 VIP tickets to the Luella’s Boudoir Wedding Fair. I’m delighted to announce that the Rock n Roll Bride reader who’ll be there to see all the madness unfold is…

Exciting. Becki, I’m looking forward to meeting you…I’ll be on the look out for those pom poms! For those of you that didn’t win but would still like to come (I’ll be there on Monday 21st from 4-9pm), tickets are still available for just £12 (or £18 for 2) book yours now by emailing or calling 020 8879 7744.

Alrighty then, let’s get on with these yummy treats shall we?

Huge congrats ladies! You should receive an email asking for your shipping info soon and then Twinkie will send them out to you.

Talking of contests, don’t forget that I’m currently hosting a free wedding photography competition with Xanthe Roxburgh – who doesn’t want free wedding photographs?!

♥  ♥  ♥

And second of all…I have some exciting/scary news. On Monday 21st March (a week on Monday) I have been asked to make my catwalk debut at the Luella’s Boudoir Wedding Fair at One Marylebone, London. Oh beeeeeeep!

I will be wearing a number of Luella’s newest items – including debuting the Australian designer Joanna Johnson’s new bridal range – never before seen in this country…she even dressed 5 people at this years Oscars. Yes. My life is that ridiculous.

I am both honored, excited and absolutely terrified all at the same time and I really hope some of you will come down to support me/see me (probably) fall on my arse.

This show is on from 6-9pm on the Monday. Tickets are available now for just £12 each (or two for the special price of £18) with £2.00 per ticket going towards The Eve Appeal. Tickets are limited so book yours now by emailing or call 020 8879 7744.

Check out more of Joanna Johnson’s gorgeous designs on her website…ooh I wonder which one I get to wear!?
