I was so incredible honoured when blog reader Cécile sent me this drawing that she’d done of Gareth & me. As photographer Christine who took the original photograph said when I showed it to her, “It takes me straight back to that moment! It makes my heart smile so much! Wow such a talent that Cécile is”.
Thank you Cécile for the beautiful gift. You can see more of her gorgeous work via her own website La Belette Rose.
I’m sure most of you will already know this, but last Summer we published issue two of our print magazine. Since then, and every day with out fail, my poor suffering Gareth has been packing and shipping each copy that’s been ordered – by hand. There’s no fancy behind the scenes action in our operation believe you me. He’s become quite the regular feature in our local post office. I wonder if they take bets about what he’s sending out in those shiny pink envelopes with such regularity.
Other blogs may do online magazines, but we go at it proper old skool style. Sure, it’s more work (and a lot more expensive to produce) but even in this hyper-digital age, there’s something so special about getting a crisp print edition through your letterbox.

I am SO EXCITED because Gala & Shauna fly into London this week. It seems like just a few short weeks ago we we’re all together in New York – this trip has come around so so quickly!
The agenda? Two very nearly sold out – we have ONE space left! – Blogcademy classes, talking about how to be famous online at The Photography Farm (tickets for this talk are only £100 if you want to come along) and four sure-to-be slightly chaotic days in Paris! Throw into the mix a little shopping (OK a lot of shopping), plenty of gallivanting around seeing the sights and oodles & oodles of giggles, self portraits and sparkly ear madness. Be sure to follow us all (Kat, Gala, Shauna) on Instagram if you want to be a part of it!
I LITERALLY CANNOT WAIT.
Congratulations you’re engaged! If you’re new around these parts I’d like to say hi and to let you know how excited I am to meet you. This is going to be one of the most awesome/stressful/exciting/fulfilling/hair-tearing (delete as appropriate) rides of your life and I for one can’t wait for you to get started! In fact I loved planning my wedding so much that I made it into my career. Gareth & I were married in April 2008. I started this blog to document the journey and I haven’t stopped since!
I’m Kat by the way… I guess I should have said that first. This is me…

And for some reason I pull that face a lot in photos.
So right now you’re probably feeling a little overwhelmed and still quite shell-shocked about the whole ‘crap I’ve got to plan an actual wedding’ thing. I’d also imagine that you probably have no idea where to start. Well the very fabulous Veronica Dearly (she makes awesome wedding stationery) created this extra-ordinarily helpful introduction to planning a wedding and she’s kindly let me share it with you all…
I’m not gonna lie, one of my highlights of 2012 was when Instagram came to android in March. Sad? Yes – Embarrassed? No!
I’ve loved looking back at my year though the snapshots (over 1000 of them!) that I’ve taken. And if you don’t follow me already, whydontya?! I’m rocknrollbride (shocking!)

If anything, the second part of 2012 was even more insane than the first. So much happened in these six short months – it’s pretty crazy!
July saw another Photography Farm. Our models this time were my gorgeous sister Rachel and her boyfriend Jamie. Aww so damn beautiful. I think this was my Farm shoot of the year.
We also finally, FINALLY (!) released issue two of the Rock n Roll Bride print magazine! This was SUCH a labour of love and I was so relieved to get it out… FINALLY! (did I say finally enough?)
