First off, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone for your support over the last year or so. I know I say it all the time, but I truly am in awe at every single on of you that visits my site, comments, sends me emails of love, send me submissions, sponsors me and generally allows me to live my dream! Because of every single one of you I’ve been able to go part time at my day job and spend 5 days a week doing what I love. It’s amazing and it’s all because of you guys.
After the initial over-excitement of becoming a full time blogger, I got-to-thinking; hell, what am I going to do next?! How can I make Rock n Roll Bride even better with all this extra time? Well, as with most things in this career of mine, it’s all just kind of falling into place…and that’s the way I like it! From the very beginning the blog has been very organic and real, and has grown slowly… I hope, in a genuine way. I never started my website to make money and in all honestly, becoming rich is not how I measure my success. As long as I can pay my bills and feed my kittens I’m happy. I didn’t start the blog to be the biggest or most popular blog out there and I won’t be turning Rock n Roll Bride into a money making empire now this is my main income. I measure my success by you guys. How many people read what I write and comment on the photographs I post, and how many people I can inspir. It’s so awesome to think I can do that. It sounds soppy and idealistic but seriously, that it. That’s me. Continue reading

For those of you that follow me on twitter or facebook, you’ll already know that I jumped with joy yesterday as I finished my last full-time shift at my day job. Thanks to all of YOU and my crazy blogging/internet/wedding obsession I’ve been able to cut down on my TV producing hours in order to focus more time on you lot! My work have actually been really great about the whole thing and I’m currently still going to be working there at the weekends, but Monday – Friday I’m all yours!
So, what does this mean for the future of Rock n Roll Bride? Well let’s be brutally honest here, I’m not exactly sure. I have a few ideas bubbling under the surface and I’m ecstatic that I’m going to be able to really get my teeth into some new projects. Day to day will certainly be more of the same though – lots of real wedding goodness and inspiration a go-go. That’s what it’s all about right? Thursday Treats can only get bigger and better and I’m hoping to develop some new daily post ideas. I’ll also be working closely with some industry peeps I’ve got to know over the past year to do some exciting new projects as well as more fabulous photo shoots whilst also hopefully developing my writing ambition by working closely with some more magazines but here in the UK and abroad.

On the 12th April 2010 a long haired husband and a pink haired wife (oh how things change!) will be having a quiet night together. No mess. No fuss. No bells. No whistles. Dinner, Alice in Wonderland at the cinema and love.
The past 2 years haven’t always been easy and haven’t always been blissful but today the computers will be switched off and we’ll just be together. That’s what’s important and that’s how we want to celebrate. Love rocks and I love my husband.
