Laura Randall of Edit 1 Media sent me some wonderful videos to share with you all, and I’m defiantly going to start with this one. The music video style is super cool and the couple, although seemingly rather traditional, definitely thought outside the box when it came to their ‘same day edit’. I love the swooping camera moves and the couple’s fun attitude. They didn’t go for a sappy sappy video style and the result is fantastic (we all know I love weddings more than most but overly lovely dovey videos really make me want to hurl!)

Seeing all these fabulous videos recently is really making me wish we’d gone for a rock n roll wedding day video!

I am loving posting all the videos this week. It seems the word is spreading about little old me and my little old blog and I am being inundated with fabulous video content as well as amazing images..woohooo! Can’t complain about that can we?

This is totally original take on the whole ‘trash the dress’ thing.  Don’t get me wrong I love TTD…in fact I love all dress pictures really, but Darrell Aubert of Aubert Films has taken the idea to a whole new level by telling a ‘trash the dress’ story with film.

Darrell goes on to explain:
Karen [the Bride] is a local part time photographer who was really interested in the TTD phenomenon. She reached out to me to shoot an awesome video for her and her family. I gladly accepted but with one condition, that I could tell a story with her video. One thing I always disliked about TTD was the lack of focus. It was more shock and awe than anything else. I wanted to tell the story of the bride’s situation, why is she doing this?
Karen’s story was one that, I’m sure, many mothers have. 3 kids, all the chores to do, a husband more interested in the football game than her. Her life lacked the spark that she had when she got married all those years ago. Finding her wedding dress and utterly destroying it is her way of expressing her frustrations and also a way of regaining some of that spark.

To read about Karen’s take on the experience, head on over to Darrell’s blog, but for now, check this out!

I want to share another Jason Magbanua video with you, and I know you’ll be pleased because everyone have been raving about the first video I posted!  Remember the amazing Star Wars wedding, captured by Pat Dy? (I loved it even though some people didn’t!) well Jason was in fact the videographer for this wedding too!

I am loving this. The music is fantastic and the Bride even says ‘come on, let’s rock and roll!’ If this doesn’t make you smile then I seriously don’t know what will!

Ashley this is just for you, you big geek!

Something a bit different for you today…Jason Magbanua emailed me asking if I wanted to post some of his videos…’hell to the yes!’ I replied! I have actually been wanting to do more wedding videos on the site for a while (remember this?) so I am super excited to have some of his fabulous ones to share today.  I have to start with this one, for one main reason – hot pink wedding dress!  The guests were all asked to wear white so the bride still stood out though! Isn’t the result so pretty?

I am so flattered at the great response I’ve gotten from you all after I posted my scary video – you have all been lovely!

However Nicole went one step further still and sent me the link to her own wedding video for me to have a look at.  It reminds me of a short promo video or a music video, its subtle yet effective and doesn’t drag on which is one thing I dread when watching wedding videos!
I really do adore this video, it has such a lovely soft feel, almost like a vintage super-8 film which is mirrored in the beautiful yet subtle vintage tones of the actual wedding.

Nicole said that they actually very nearly didn’t get a wedding video, but this actually ended up being one of their most favourite parts of their wedding!  If there had been someone that I knew of here in the UK that shot gorgeous wedding videos like this we may have chanced our minds about that too!

Thanks so much for sharing Nicole & Joe, for more details and photographs from their wedding clicky here
I’m now really look forward to seeing many more of your wedding videos!
