OK OK excitement must been contained (although I nearly did squeal to myself in a crowded newsagents whilst on my own earlier today!) Those of you following me on Twitter or Facebook may already know but I am now a fully fledged and published writer. Oh yes how ridiculous is that! Me?! Meeeee?!!
I have been waiting to see these photographs for what feels like a lifetime! Remember the fabulous Tinywater contest that ran in July? Well the gorgeous Erica & Richie won themselves a photo shoot with the ridiculously talented and lovely Caroline & Dan and {eeeek} they have just sent me the results…exclusive people exclusive! Prepare yourself for some serious awesomeness!

Â
Is is possible to have an addiction to a set of photographers? Because I definitely have a really intense Tinywater habit. Every day I need to get my fix…and it feels gooooood.
One day I will travel to Sacramento and track down Caroline & Daniel as I hold them personally responsible for my infatuation.

I could literally fall over with excitement right about now, I am about to announce the winners of the Tinywater photo shoot competition. We had so many votes (over 200 and yes I had to count them all, I have learnt my lesson and next time I will get a fancy widgety thing to keep track for me) So without further ado…your winners are…
Erica & Richie!
I can not stress how close a call it was – they won by just 13 votes and the two runners up only had 2 votes between them – agonisingly close! I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone that entered and voted and of course a maaahusive high five to the awesome Tinywater Photography. Eeeek I can not wait to see the results!
Johanna & Ryan had some pretty damn awesome portraits taken at their wedding…much love to the faaaabulous Tinywater Photography (as always, I heart them!) It looks like there was a lot of hilarity to be had…
Be sure to click the thumbnails below to get the full effect of brilliance, the mini pictures really do not do these justice!

Voting is now closed
No exaggeration this has been the most difficult contest to judge…ever! I am just so glad I got to choose 3 finalists, picking just one would have literally been impossible. So here’s the drill, I need you to vote for your favourites to win the photo shoot in the comments section of this post. The couple who get the most number of votes will win. You have until Sunday 12th July 2009 to pick your winners. May I introduce…
Johnny & Ash
What makes us particularly rock n roll? Both artists at heart [he with music, I with craft], we have genuine appreciation for that talent and work that go into photography. We often take our own little photo shoots in the comfort of our home — amateur, but still so much fun! Above all qualities, we share an immense dislike for material possessions and human natures craving for cash. We refuse to buy ourselves luxuries unless we can sincerely part with them. We will never claim to “need” something other than oxygen, nourishment, and each other. Our goofy personalities and spontaneity is all the entertainment I could ask for. A perfect day, in our eyes, is spent in the grass under the sun, maybe with a bottle of wine. Although we are completely content and thankful for what we have, our lack of money keeps us from ever treating ourselves to something nice. We know we will be just fine without the fancy dinners on important dates [we prefer to try and cook by ourselves anyway!], or the garden wedding we will never be able to afford, but being spoiled with the attention of a photo shoot is something he and I would really appreciate.

I could tell you all about our little rock ‘n’ roll habits like nerding out about records, drinking beer on the porch, going to shows, playing music together, making each other laugh, talking about politics, and turning each other on – but none of those things are fabulously unique. They’re just fabulous. What makes us unique is that we were introduced by a friend, reacquainted at a war protest, and brought together during a spin-the-bottle game. We’ve been inseparable for six years. Our first kisses made the papers and our wedding is going to blow your minds.Â

First of I just wanted to say I am totally addicted to Rock n Roll Bride! I HAVE to read and see all of the gorgeous pictures you post EVERYDAY, thank you for all of the inspiration. Ok with that said, on to my Fiancee and I. I met Richie at this indie/electro bar in our home town, one day I was there dancing the night away with my besties and he walked by. I promise that when I saw him I was instantly in love. So when he walked back by I couldn’t help but stare and smile. Then he walked by again and I smiled and was just hoping and hoping he would come talk to me, and he did! We hit it off and have been together everyday since. We are from Texas and now live in California, he moved all the way over here with me. The thing that makes us rock n roll is that we are 100% able to be who we are. We have so much fun together whether we are out exploring getting lost or whether we are at home watching TV. He makes me laugh, I make him laugh. We love dancing, jamming out in the car, and just being lazy together, there is nothing sweeter than that. We are getting married in March and I cannot wait! I dream of having gorgeous pictures like the ones I see here everyday

Good Luck guys, I’m glad it’s out of my hands now!
I hate to have to add this but pwwwease only one vote per person. I do not want this contest to turn into fisty-cuffs about some people getting multiple votes from the same IP addresses. Each IP address will only get one vote. Come on now people, I can see where each vote comes from, you’re not fooling me by changing your name or email address slightly! Play nice or don’t play at all.
Some may say I blog too much, but the thing is, when I get send sooo much fabulousness it’s a crime not to share. Without all these posts I would go to blogger’s prison.
Just one more for tonight then, and I’m ending the day with one of my favourites. – Tinywater. I love them. Caroline even tweeted me the proofs of this session before blogging them as she knew I’d go crazy for them..and hurrah she was right!
I also recieved a lovely email from the Bride, Sandra who was more than happy to share some of the details of their glorious day..

What made our wedding so special to us, was that we were able to share it with the people we love most. They accompanied us to almost every meeting, from tastings to linens, and really participated. Since we have been together since Junior year of high school (11 years!), everyone was just so happy for us, and it showed.
For the decor–if you can’t tell already, we LOVE color. So turquoise, lime green, and papaya made up our color scheme. My sister is a graphic designer, and she helped us with all things paper. This included our signature drink signs, our cookie buffet welcome, our favor labels and escort cards, and our programs and invitations! She is truly a genius.
We wanted to keep the ceremony traditional, and since it was in a historic mission, and I have Spanish roots, I went with a scalloped lace gown, and a mantilla veil. I feel it really complemented the decor and felt very authentic.
I think the most “us” thing about our wedding, besides the colors and the ceremony, was the cookie buffet. Chad and I are not huge fans of cake, but we LOVE cookies and milk. So after much logistical planning, we created a cookie buffet for dessert instead of cake, and did a cookie cutting and milk toast instead of cake cutting and champagne toast. A little different– but totally us!
For their wedding photographs, clicky here, here & here! - but I’m all about these amazingly bright, colourful, fabulous ‘newlywed session’ shots.
Seriously Caroline & Dan…I need to you come to London so you can take photographs of meeee!
Until tomorrow my darlings xx

She took my breath away w!hen we first stepped in the bridal preparation room at the Rose Garden Inn. She was so elegant and so beautiful. The mood was calm, comfortable silences interrupted by feminine giggles. As she cut a part of her mother’s veil to add on to the hairpiece, I noted how important family was to her. Her red knee high boots sat in the corner as she got laced into her corset, accentuating her hourglass figure. Every move was deliberate and graceful, she was so inspiring. Everything about her was so unique, her red Wai Ching dress was perfect.
